Its snow-white head was as big as the front of a small car and its bulging red eyes were larger than two soccer balls combined!
It was so close that she could even see the tightly arranged rows of white scales covering its body.
With each movement it made, its massive form rose and fell along with the scales, sending chills crawling all over her skin.
This giant python had appeared completely silently, did it take her as prey?
And no one had told her the afterlife was this terrifying!!
Just as she stood there frozen in fear, the giant python lowered its head toward her.
Its scarlet vertical pupils locked onto her as it flicked its tongue with a soft "hiss hiss."
Seeing the forked tongue as well as the faintly revealed cold white fangs, Hayoon felt her vision darken even further; she didn't even dare to breathe.
"You're awake? Go back. You can't be out in the wind right now."
Suddenly she could hear a man's voice that was chillingly cold, low, magnetic, and beautiful enough to be called celestial.
But why, why was it coming from the mouth of the giant python!!
This python… it could speak human language!!!
Unable to withstand the shock any longer, Hayoon's eyes rolled back and she fainted on the spot.
Her final thought before fainting was: The afterlife is too terrifying. I still want to live!
...
While unconscious Hayoon had a dream.
In a vast expanse of white mist, a translucent young girl whose face resembled hers by about eighty percent looked at her with regret and sorrow.
Hayoon asked doubtfully, "You are… me?"
The young girl froze briefly, then said with sudden clarity, "Yes, from now on, you will be me."
Hayoon blinked his eyes, she did not understand what she meant.
The young girl stared at her seriously. "Please take good care of my younger brother, and also… tell him I'm sorry."
As his words fell, he gently pushed forward.
Hayoon felt a force pressing directly on her soul, yanking her who had been as though drowning deep underwater up to the surface all at once!
She snapped her eyes open, gasping heavily for air.
After a moment, she realized she had returned to that same cave from the beginning.
Her fingers twitched.
The sensation beneath her was animal hide that was slightly hard against her skin.
It's rustling when she moved likely with dried grass stuffed underneath it.
At her side, a little boy around ten years old was hugging her arm, crying. "Sis, how are you feeling? Does your head hurt?"
Hayoon looked at him carefully and wondered if she was still not fully awake.
Otherwise, why did the little boy have two bear ears growing from his head?
A sharp pain pierced her mind as a flood of memories that did not belong to her suddenly rushed in.
Maybe hours passed, or maybe only a few breaths, she opened her eyes wide in shock.
So she wasn't dead at all, she had transmigrated into an ancient beastman world!
