Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 The Master of Miracle Healing!

"Ta-da! Look who's here!" said Genshin Impact · Paimon.

"Paimon must have gotten something good to be so happy," said The Stellaron Hunters · March 7th.

Paimon then elaborated in the group chat about the Optimization Power she had acquired, the experiments she and Lumine had conducted, and her hypothesis regarding Paimon's ability to eliminate human diseases.

She then announced that she and Lumine were going on a long trip to see if they could get Zhongli to join the group, and would chat more when they had time.

Everyone in the group expressed their envy of Paimon's good luck.

Wise stared at the chat log: 'Since it's a purple item and possesses the power of rules, it must be extraordinary. I wonder if it can help those eroded by Aether avoid becoming Eidolon.'

'A purple item with the power of rules… if its purification ability is truly as Paimon described, perhaps those deeply eroded and on the verge of becoming Eidolon could still be saved?'

This thought warmed his heart, but he quickly calmed down. 'The cost and usage restrictions are key. We'll have to wait for Paimon and Lumine's next attempt.'

Meanwhile, Dan Heng closed the data panel of the knowledge repository, his gaze profound. 'Optimization Power, a force that touches the level of rules….'

A shadow that had lingered over the Xianzhou Luofu for thousands of years surfaced in his mind—Mara-Struck. 'If this power can truly reverse the distortions brought by Abundance…'

Dan Heng's fingers tightened slightly. 'No matter the cost, it's worth a try. But what are the consumption and limits of Paimon activating this power? I'll observe further later.'

Stelle looked at the bamboo-copter on his head and suddenly felt it wasn't so appealing, so he unhappily took it off.

March 7th, seeing the lively group chat and Stelle's "precedent," hovered her finger over the gacha button a few times, her face full of struggle: "Ahhh, I'm so conflicted! Should I go all in or not?!"

On the other side, in the video store, Wise pressed down on Ling's restless hand and said earnestly, "Ling, calm down! Purple items are extremely rare. We must believe in strategy and save up for a ten-pull!"

After sparking a lively discussion in the group, Paimon and Lumine quietly left, preparing to head to the nearest Teleport Waypoint to return to Liyue.

Zhongli usually spent his mornings drinking tea and listening to stories at Tian Tiezhui's and Tea Master Liu Su's places, but after visiting both locations, they didn't find him.

Lumine: "I guess Zhongli went for a stroll somewhere again. Let's not look for him anymore. We can check New Moon Pavilion or Wanmin Restaurant at noon. We can also treat you, Paimon, to a good meal as a celebration."

Paimon's eyes lit up at the mention of food: "That's great! Uh, no, I mean, what a shame. Hehe!"

"So, what are we doing next?"

Lumine replied, "Next, let's go to Bubu Pharmacy to find Baizhu and see if your Optimization Power can cure illnesses. It'll also be safer with Baizhu observing."

The two headed straight to Bubu Pharmacy. Fortunately, Baizhu was not out on house calls today and was currently treating Huixin, the secretary from the Yuehai Pavilion.

"Doctor Baizhu, I worked overtime too long last night and blew some cold air to stay awake," Huixin said weakly.

"I didn't expect to wake up feeling dizzy and feverish, and my body is very tired. I'm almost certainly suffering from a cold. Could you please prescribe some medicine for me to manage it? I still have a lot of work to finish."

Baizhu: "Miss Huixin should prioritize rest. Even the fastest medicine takes time to work."

Before they could continue their conversation, Lumine interrupted them: "Hello, Baizhu, still busy?"

Baizhu: "Oh? Lumine, long time no see. I heard you became heroes in Fontaine again. That's truly impressive. Let's chat later; I need to finish writing Miss Huixin's prescription first."

Paimon: "You don't need to go through all that trouble! I've recently gained a new ability, and I can also heal people. Let me give it a try!"

Baizhu looked at Lumine with a hint of disbelief, as if asking, 'Is this real? Is it reliable? We can't just experiment on patients.'

Lumine understood Baizhu's gaze: "Don't worry, nothing should happen. Besides, you're here, aren't you?"

Huixin, being drowsy, hadn't paid much attention to their conversation.

Suddenly, Paimon's hand flashed, and a wrench appeared. She then quietly tapped Huixin behind her.

Unlike the previous ore experiment, this time the wrench seemed to be nonexistent, directly merging into Huixin's body, startling the three of them.

They only relaxed after realizing Huixin had no reaction.

Immediately, Lumine and Paimon saw a phantom image of a wrench rotating above Huixin's head, followed by a faint, almost invisible wisp of black mist floating out, dissipating and vanishing into the air.

Huixin, who had been suffering from the cold, suddenly felt a refreshing coolness in her head.

Her body was no longer tired, but she still had many organizational meetings to arrange for the day.

So she stood up and bid farewell: "Doctor Baizhu, I suddenly feel better. Perhaps you don't need to prescribe any medicine. I'm so sorry, but I have a lot of work to do, so I'll take my leave now."

This unprecedented scene made Baizhu's pupils constrict, and even his breathing hitched.

Changshang, the snake around his neck, was so startled that it forgot to retract its tongue: "This… how is this possible?!"

But his rigorous instincts from years of medical practice immediately suppressed his shock.

He took a swift step forward, gently but firmly stopping Huixin, who was about to leave: "Miss Huixin, wait! Allow me to take your pulse once more, just to confirm everything is well."

He focused, placing three fingers on Huixin's wrist pulse, carefully sensing for a full half-incense stick of time. The pulse he felt was steady and strong, her qi and blood abundant. There was no trace of the cold illness.

Baizhu looked up, his eyes still wide with shock, but now burning with an intense curiosity, as if observing an unknown miracle.

Baizhu looked curiously at Paimon and Lumine, hoping they could explain.

Lumine found an excuse, saying that Paimon had a fortuitous encounter and obtained a wrench artifact that could remove impurities from both people and objects.

So, the two wondered if it could cure illnesses and came to Baizhu to try it out.

Lumine and Paimon, fearing they would expose themselves if they continued, declined and left, saying, "Next, we still need to find Zhongli. We'll chat later."

Baizhu, seeing such a miraculous effect, wanted to study it further, but seeing that the two truly seemed to have something urgent, he did not stop Lumine and Paimon, thinking, 'I'll ask them again when I have a chance.'

Paimon and Lumine, while heading to New Moon Pavilion, shared the morning's events in the group chat.

"Hehe, I'm so strong! I easily cured the cold!" said Genshin Impact · Paimon.

"Paimon, you're amazing! If you can really cure illnesses, then you'll become a divine doctor at light speed!" said Eternal Freeze Zero · Ling.

"It's not as amazing as you make it sound," said Genshin Impact · Paimon.

"Oh, right, if anyone needs Paimon's help, just say the word! As for the consultation fee, just give me plenty of delicious food," said Genshin Impact · Paimon.

Everyone praised her again, making Paimon blush with embarrassment.

Amidst their chatter, Lumine and Paimon had already arrived at Wanmin Restaurant, as the New Moon Pavilion waitress had just said she hadn't seen Zhongli.

Indeed, Zhongli was having lunch at Wanmin Restaurant.

As soon as they entered, they saw Zhongli: "Long time no see, Lumine, Paimon. Sit and join me for a meal."
