"Well then, I'll leave the rest to you, Reiri. And one last thing, at this school you must address me as Principal Kurayami, do you understand?"
Those were Principal Kurayami's final words after welcoming the new students.
"She's still as strict as ever," Kazuya muttered.
"Of course. She's the type of person who separates her personal life from her work."
After the two of them left the Principal's Office, they were now walking towards the lift to return to the ground floor.
The Principal's building was the only building that had a lift connecting the second and third floors—the Principal's Office they had visited earlier and also her residence on the top floor.
Reiri took a card out of her pocket and swiped it at the scanner in front of the lift.
They both quickly entered the lift as soon the doors opened, immediatly after the scanner screen turned green and displayed the code [ACCESS GRANTED].
Reiri repeated the same thing as before before pressing the button for her destination floor.
Only those with access cards could operate the lift.
"Isn't it a bit of hassle to always have to do this just to go one floor?"
Kazuya voiced his opinion about the lift he had just experienced.
"It is a bit hassle. But it's all for the young lady's safety."
Hm. Indeed, for a woman of Miss Mizuho's calibre, it wouldn't hurt to add a little security.
Even so, there shouldn't be any problems considering the location of Kurayami Private Academy on top of a hill, not to mention the number of security devices installed in various places in this area.
Access Card is only given to those trusted by Kurayami Mizuho. It is not just any item that can be given to just anyone.
Because this also concerns her own safety. So it's only natural that she would do so. And coincidentally, she gave me one.
Kazuya and Reiri got out of the lift and arrived on the first floor. This floor was supposed to be used for the Teachers' Office, but the atmosphere was still the same as when he first arrived.
There was not a single teacher to be seen on this floor.
"Then, where should we go? Are you going to start introducing me as a transfer student?"
Kazuya left the decision of what to do next up to Reiri.
Although Reiri was dressed casually in a maroon leather jacket over her beige shirt and tight jeans, her ideal body proportions were evident.
In fact, she was the person most likely to know about this school besides the principal herself, because Amasawa Reiri was Kurayami Mizuho's personal secretary.
"So... How about we start by introducing ourselves to the school first?"
Reiri offered her suggestion enthusiastically.
"Even though I can't introduce myself as a transfer student yet, I also think that's a good idea. Then, where should we start?" Kazuya asked for guidance, although he felt a little disappointed for some reason.
"Let's go!" Reiri took one of Kazuya's hands and held it. "The first place should be the Nurse's Office. It's the closest building."
Kazuya and Reiri walked side by side through the corridor connecting one building to another.
"Hey! You don't need to pull my arm." Kazuya protested.
"Hmm. What's wrong~?" Reiri gave Kazuya a quick glance, flashing her smile. "Doesn't this remind you of the past?"
Reiri pulled Kazuya's arm closer to her, pressing it against her chest.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Kazuya remained completely unmoved by her blatant provocation.
"Hehehehe. You're still as cold as ever. Ah, it looks like we're here."
The two of them arrived in front of a room with a sign reading 'Nurse's Office' hanging above the door.
"Should we go inside?" Kazuya asked, unsure of what to do.
"Aww. What are you planning by asking me to come in?" Reiri said, choosing to tease him instead of giving an answer.
Without getting a clear answer, Kazuya opened the door and went inside, leaving Reiri alone with her joke.
He saw two beds with white mattresses and blankets. A table and a drawer containing medical equipment.
He glanced to the right and left, but did not find what he was looking for. He did not see a single nurse in the room.
"If what you're looking for a nurse, then you won't find one here." Reiri followed him into the room.
"Then what's the point of this room?"
Nurse's Office without a real nurse is the same as having nothing at all.
"Isn't every school required to have a Nurse's Office? Besides, just because there's no nurse doesn't mean no one can use it."
Kazuya understood what she meant. He knew there was someone here with a medical degree.
"We already know the Nurse's Office. How about the Library next?"
"Oh, the Library? Good idea, I'd like to see it too."
Kazuya did not hide his interest at all; in fact, he took the initiative to leave immediately.
