Time in Crevalis flowed like a vast river—ten thousand stories unfolding every breath. Kingdoms rose, armies gathered, and the first great war of the intelligent races approached. Yet in the divine realm above it all, the chaos was not among mortals… but among their gods.
Xian marched toward Arsere with the determination of a man ready to fight the universe itself. His face was unusually serious, lips pressed tight, eyes burning with desperate resolve. Virex watched from the side, already sensing trouble.
Xian cleared his throat dramatically just as Arsere glanced up—
But before he could speak a single word, her voice struck him like a thunderbolt.
"Don't even think about it. I am not allowing direct interference."
Xian's heart shattered like glass. His mouth hung open, his heroic pose collapsing instantly.
"C‑Come on, Arsere!" he protested, waving his arms wildly. "They're your lifeforms! How can you just let them die in the hands of those ugly demons!?"
"HEY!" Virex shouted. "I am handsome, you idiot!"
Arsere ignored both of them with a sigh.
"Xian… aren't those so‑called 'ugly demons' also my lifeforms?"
Virex grinned proudly. "See? She said we're not ugly."
"But—!" Xian snarled.
"No." Arsere cut him off sharply. "Mortals fight. Mortals die. Their souls return to the reincarnation ring. That is the cycle I created. I only interfere when something threatens the existence of souls themselves. This war is not a threat to Crevalis."
Xian was not listening. He was already slowly lowering himself toward Arsere's leg like a dog begging for food—clearly ready to hug her, cling to her, maybe even kiss her leg if necessary.
He didn't get the chance.
SLAP!
A divine slap so clean it echoed across the realm.
Xian spun in place three full times before stopping, eyes swirling.
Arsere flicked her hair with annoyance. "Fine. Fine. To shut you up—I will send one of my worshipers. One. Don't expect me to babysit your kingdom."
Virex, listening, suddenly froze. His face turned pale, shade draining from him like spilled ink. Even Lilithra, watching from the shadows, raised a brow at the sudden change.
Because if Arsere sent someone powerful… the demon empire would definitely face trouble.
Just as tension reached its peak, a new voice echoed through the divine chamber—smooth, cold, and dangerous.
"Then I will send one of my creatures to help Virex."
The Primordial Goddess Lilithra stepped forward, her steps graceful yet terrifying. If Arsere's presence felt warm like starlight, Lilithra's felt like a blade wrapped in velvet—beautiful, but deadly.
Arsere turned to her calmly. "Acceptable."
Xian's eyes widened. "W‑Wait, what!? She gets to send someone too!?"
"You started this," Arsere replied dryly.
Xian fell to the ground in despair.
THE WAR BEGINS
Below in Crevalis, the world trembled.
Human banners fluttered in the wind as the Xian Empire prepared its defenses—swords forged under Xian's divine blessing, warriors trained for generations in the art of blade.
The Viron Empire, born from Nightvail's shadows, gathered its demonic armies. Under Virex's influence, they had grown stronger by consuming negative emotions. And what emotion burned most brightly?
Fear.
War was exactly what they wanted.
From high above, Arsere observed the growing conflict like a queen watching her chessboard. She stood with arms crossed, aura shimmering.
"Now… this war is going to be interesting."
THE SUMMONING
Both sides prepared to summon a single champion.
Arsere stetched her hand, a divine glow swirling in her palm.
"Come forth," she commanded softly, "one of my blessed."
At the same time, Lilithra raised her own hand.
"Rise," she whispered, "my creatur born from hell's deepest flame."
Their powers clashed like light and shadow, bright energy and dark mist intertwining in the center of the divine hall.
Virex gulped.
Xian nearly fainted from excitement.
The air rippled violently—
BOOM!
Two powerful beings materialized, their silhouettes hidden behind swirling smoke and divine light.
Arsere smirked.
Lilithra smiled.
Xian screamed, "THIS IS GOING TO BE SO COOL!"
And Virex whispered the only words in his mind:
"…I am so screwed."
