Chapter 16 - Shatter me

Nur... you cannot be serious right now... what do you mean you did it? his voice sizzled with frustration. Do you understand the weight of your words? YOU ARE DONE NUR! YOU ARE FINISHED!

Cagan's voice echoed through the corridors of the Carcere giudiziario prison, Milan Italy. His breath staggered as he watched the face of an unfazed Nur. He stared right at him.

"What would change if I said otherwise...none believes me? the past few months have been anything but peaceful. The crash and the data leak of the company was the steppingstone of the raise of Arslan enterprise" He let out a low bitter chuckle as his husky eyes darted as he recalled Arslan, how he had given him his hands.

 "How naive we were"...

Then from behind Cagan came the yelling's. Nur's brows creased.

Leave me...LEAVE ME! her voice.

A-Ayse...? a murmur left his lips as he then saw Cagan turn his back. There she came, dragged by the prison guards. She struggled against their grip as she then glanced up, eyes locking instantly with him.

N-Nur... Nur... her lips parted as she saw her husband, her Nur. His hands clenched the metal bars as he watched her. Nur! she leapt to the front, though the guards held her back. Leave me...! she yelled.

Ayse wiggled free from their grasp as she then strode to him. Her chocolate-like orbs melting on to his warm blues as she leaned in closer. Her finger curling on the bars as she clutched at his fingers, intertwingling them like a found puzzle.

Nur eyes flickered to Cagan, he then turned back and left.

Nur... a whisper, her lips quivered as she uttered my name so lovingly yet hollow. I didn't smile nor utter a word. I just watched her crumble under the mere frame of me. A broken man, her husband, a coward who doesn't even have the courage to say a word to her.

Ayse tilted her head, her eyes were puffy, delicate fingers trembling in the process as she circled the bulging vein on my battered palm.

Ah...Nur... she then brushed her lips against it, slow, soothing. Her lips fervently moved against my palm as if that only could cure. I arched my head back slightly, eyes shutting close, gosh...I didn't realize how much I missed her.

My Ayse... my lawful wife
