Early Morning – Training Ground
The sun hasn't even risen yet, but all the athletes are already on the field, stretching and warming up.
Ahmad: "I don't like exercise…"
Arjun: "You're a runner, you need it. But why are we doing it? What's the point of jumping during shooting?"
The coach approaches, annoyed.
Coach: "You can't even do proper squats! And what is this?"
He points at the boy from last night.
Coach: "Why are you wearing sunglasses in the morning? And what happened to your hand? Why is it bandaged?!"
The boy looks weak, his voice breaking.
Boy: "S-sorry…"
Ahmad (whispering): "What happened to him?"
Arjun: "I don't know… maybe eye flu? Or a sprain?"
Suddenly, the boy collapsed, falling straight onto the ground.
The coach rushed to him, kneeling down.
The other athletes gathered.
Ahmad: "He… he fell."
Arjun: "Come on, let's go. We should help."
They pushed through the crowd, barely able to see what was happening.
Then—
A sudden scream ripped through the group.
The athletes stumbled back in fear.
The boy's sunglasses slipped off, revealing bloodshot, burning red eyes.
Before the coach could react, the boy lunged forward and bit his hand—hard.
People shouted, some jumping back in terror while others tried to pull the boy away.
Arjun and Ahmad got pushed to the back by the crowd. They could only watch, confused and shocked.
The second coach and a few older boys managed to drag the boy off the injured coach.
The coach's hand was bleeding badly, blood dripping down his wrist.
The boy, however, kept attacking, snapping his teeth, wild and unrecognizable.
One student held him from behind, trying to restrain him, while another shouted:
Student: "Hey! Stop! Calm down! Hey—HEY!"
But he wasn't listening.
He couldn't understand anything anymore.
He was completely gone—feral.
The coach quickly tied a cloth around the boy's mouth and, with help from several athletes, tied him to a bench.
Even then, he thrashed violently.
Within minutes, the ambulance arrived.
Paramedics checked the injured coach.
The bite was deep — they said he would need tetanus and rabies injections immediately.
The boy was still struggling. The paramedics tried to secure him, but he kept jerking violently, trying to bite anyone who got close.
Eventually, the professionals managed to bind him to a stretcher and load him in.
Both the coach and the boy were taken away.
The entire boys' dorm community stood frozen — shocked, scared, and confused.
Ahmad (staring): "There was… blood. In his mouth."
Arjun: "What happened to him?"
Ahmad (excited but scared): "Bro… that was crazy. How did he turn like that? Was he even human or an animal?"
Arjun: "Just shut up."
