The moment Master Roshi laid eyes on Launch, his jaw dropped.
"Wow… stunning!"
He turned to Goku and Krillin, beaming. "You two pass the test!"
Chi-Chi ran over with a bright smile.
"Congratulations, Goku!"
Goku scratched his head and gave a sheepish grin, not saying much.
Chi-Chi glanced at Master Roshi and, in an instant, her cheerful expression darkened slightly.
She leaned in close to Goku and whispered, "So this was the disciple test? No wonder I wasn't included…
Hmph, Master Roshi's just a dirty old man. Goku, don't let him rub off on you!"
Goku replied honestly, "Chi-Chi, don't talk bad about Master Roshi.
He may be a pervert, but he's still a good person."
"…Okay." Chi-Chi nodded obediently.
While the two whispered, Master Roshi cheerfully stepped up to greet Launch.
"Welcome, welcome! I'm Master Roshi."
Launch smiled politely. "Nice to meet you, Master Roshi.
Your disciples saved me when I was in danger, and now you've taken me in. I'm really grateful!"
Roshi perked up. "Oh? They saved you?"
"Yes," Launch nodded. "They're amazing fighters! You must be a fantastic teacher."
Roshi burst into laughter. "Hehehe—well, not to brag, but I haven't even started teaching them yet!
But if you're interested, would you like to learn martial arts too?"
Launch blinked. "Me? I'm a girl… I don't think I'd be good at it."
"No, no," Roshi said quickly. "I'm not asking you to train as hard as they do.
Just enough to take care of yourself. Martial arts are great for the body and mind. They're really good for your health!"
Krillin jumped in to support the pitch.
"Master Roshi is a living legend in the martial arts world. He rarely accepts disciples.
You're lucky—he's offering to teach you."
Launch's eyes widened in surprise.
"Really? He's that amazing? Then I'll learn!"
Master Roshi clapped his hands joyfully.
"Excellent! Then let's begin right away!
First, I'll hand out your Turtle School uniforms!"
He rummaged through a box and pulled out several outfits—
only they were clearly just women's underwear.
Roshi, having planned this, insisted everyone change into them so Launch wouldn't feel alone.
He and Krillin immediately slipped into the skimpy lingerie.
Chi-Chi's face twisted in disgust.
"What the heck?! That's not a uniform, it's underwear!
Ugh, I take it back—Master Roshi's definitely a pervert!
I'm not putting that on!"
Goku, already understanding how embarrassing this was, stalled for time and avoided changing.
Even as a mentally mature adult, the idea of putting on women's underwear in front of everyone was just too much.
Then it was Launch's turn to change.
Without hesitation, she started pulling at her clothes right there.
Krillin gasped, "W-Wait, you're just going to change out here?!"
Launch paused, startled. "Oh! You're right—I'll go inside."
Roshi glared at Krillin. "Big mouth. You trying to get sent home?"
"Sorry!!" Krillin bowed apologetically.
As Launch headed inside, a fly buzzed toward her.
Goku's expression shifted. He sensed what was about to happen.
He quickly grabbed Chi-Chi's hand and pulled her away.
It was the first time Goku had ever touched her hand. Chi-Chi's cheeks turned red instantly, her head ducking shyly.
"Goku… w-why are you grabbing my hand?"
"Come with me. I won't let anything happen to you."
Chi-Chi cupped her cheek with one hand, trying to hide her blush.
"Mm… okay. I'll go wherever you go."
"Just follow me and stay hidden for a bit."
Chi-Chi's blush deepened. "Okay…"
They ducked behind a corner just as Launch's nose twitched.
"Oh no—" she cried out. "Everyone, get back!"
"Ah… AH-CHOO!"
One sneeze—and everything changed.
In an instant, the sweet, gentle Launch transformed into her aggressive, wild alter ego.
Gone was the docile blue-haired girl—in her place stood the fierce, gold-haired bandit.
She scanned the area, her eyes sharp and predatory.
"This ain't a prison…" she muttered.
"Where the heck am I?"
Her gaze landed on Roshi and Krillin, both frozen mid-pose in women's underwear.
Launch narrowed her eyes. "What kind of freak show is this?"
Without hesitation, she whipped out a machine gun from seemingly nowhere and opened fire.
"You disgusting perverts! Why are you wearing women's underwear?!"
"RAT-TAT-TAT! BANG-BANG!"
Roshi and Krillin screamed, zigzagging and hopping around to dodge the bullets.
Thankfully, the rampage didn't last long.
One more sneeze—and Launch returned to her meek, confused self.
She stared at the smoking machine gun in her hands and took a deep breath.
"Huh? Did I… do something bad again?"
She looked around, saw Roshi and Krillin shaking in fear, and scratched her head sheepishly.
"Sorry. Every time I sneeze, my personality changes. It's totally out of my control.
Maybe I shouldn't learn martial arts after all… I'll just cook for you guys instead, okay?"
Roshi exhaled, relief flooding his face. "That's fine… that's just fine."
Chi-Chi, still hiding nearby, was stunned.
"She changes personality every time she sneezes?"
Goku nodded. "Yup. She's not normal.
When her hair turns blonde, she's violent and dangerous. Stay away when that happens."
Chi-Chi smiled sweetly. "Got it.
And thank you for pulling me away earlier.
I knew you were the best, Goku."
Finally, Master Roshi cleared his throat.
"Alright, time to start your first task—moving house!"
Krillin blinked. "Moving?"
Roshi nodded. "This island's too small for real training.
We'll relocate to a bigger one to start proper martial arts lessons."
Goku remembered this part—it was where he and Krillin delivered milk, tilled land, and underwent intense physical training.
Indeed, the real work didn't happen here.
With everyone's help, they packed up the Kame House in one day.
Roshi stored the house inside a capsule.
The next morning, they boarded a speedboat and headed off—
to a bigger island, and the beginning of the true Turtle School training.
