Chapter 129 - You're in a magazine

How to make the Ironclad Charm on the protective bracelet last longer has become one of Albert's latest research topics.

Recently, Albert has been reading a lot of books, and some methods do indeed make spells last longer.

The simplest way is to concentrate while casting the spell, which essentially means using stronger magical power to maintain it. The copying spell is a prime example; some copied items can exist indefinitely, while others disappear on their own after a period of time, depending on the person casting the spell.

As far as Albert knows, there is also a spell called the Permanent Sticker Spell, which is an irreversible spell.

The ancient spells that maintain Hogwarts Castle are incredibly powerful. The four leaders are only human, and if they can do it, Albert believes he can too.

However, my thinking may be flawed, or my expertise in knowledge and magic may be far inferior to theirs.

Albert was considering whether he should ask Professor Flitwick about this problem.

Someone playfully patted Albert on the left shoulder from behind.

When Albert turned his head, he couldn't see the person.

"What is it?" Albert asked, knowing that the other person was on his right.

"You're really boring," Field said with a grin, sitting down in the empty seat next to Albert. "Have you seen this episode of 'Transformation Today'?"

"I haven't seen it yet," Albert said honestly.

"Wow, you didn't even see it?" Field looked at Albert incredulously, as if he were looking at some strange creature.

"It's not that I don't have time to watch it, what's wrong with this episode of 'Today's Metamorphosis'?" Albert sensed something unusual in the other person's words.

Lately, he's been busy with the protective bracelet, and he's also discovered that the runes on it aren't working as expected, which has been frustrating him for a while. Today's "Transfiguration of the Day" arrived, but he hasn't had time to look through it yet.

By the way, the book-reading app I've been using recently, [Mimi Reading app], allows you to cache books and read them offline!

"The paper you wrote last time has been published in this issue of Transfiguration Today." Field stared intently into Albert's eyes, as if trying to determine whether the guy genuinely didn't know about it or was just pretending.

"Oh?" Albert paused for a moment, then repeated, "What did you say?"

"The paper you wrote last time has been published in this issue of Transfiguration Today." Field gave Albert a look that said, "I'm really defeated by you," and spread out the rolled-up copy of Transfiguration Today in front of Albert, pointing to the article and continuing, "Professor McGonagall said that our Transfiguration Club's activity this time is to study this topic."

Students who overheard the conversation gathered around, eager to see Albert's paper on transfiguration.

"Professor McGonagall has cut quite a bit of stuff, hasn't she?" Albert looked closely and said to Field, "Half the content is gone."

"I know, I've read your original manuscript," Field nodded.

Albert looked at Field in surprise. "When did you see this? I don't remember."

"After reading this paper, I asked Professor McGonagall for a copy of your original manuscript," Field explained. "You really dared to write those things."

Polymorph is the most complex and also the most dangerous spell.

Field vaguely remembered that these were the words Professor McGonagall had spoken in her first lecture.

However, this guy in front of me actually wants to use it against the enemy?

"Did you bump your head when you went into the lounge?" Field asked irritably.

"Is there a problem?"

"Of course, do you know the Transfiguration Torture Spell?" Field suddenly asked again.

"I know a little, it's about using transformations…" Albert's words were interrupted by Field before he could finish.

"Did you know?" Field reminded him, "the Ministry of Magic has always been committed to maintaining peace in the wizarding world."

"They don't want..."

"Yes. After all, Transfiguration Today is an academic journal!" Field sighed. "Parts of your paper don't fit the bill."

In fact, Field had to admit that Albert's ingenious ideas were admirable.

The uses of talismans are incredibly varied, and when used at the right time and in the right way, they can often cause unexpected damage.

However, sometimes it just doesn't work!

"I understand." Albert nodded in understanding. "After all, nobody wants their living environment to be a mess, and it's also easier to manage that way. However…"

"But what?" Field noticed the fleeting hint of sarcasm on Albert's face.

"It's nothing," Albert said with a smile, without saying anything.

This tactic is one of the most favored methods by upper management.

After all, sheep are easier to manage than wolves.

However, once something is lost, one often becomes vulnerable when faced with challenges.

Voldemort's return is the best example; the prestige accumulated by the entire Ministry of Magic was trampled underfoot and casually crushed.

Albert didn't care much about these things.

In fact, he has always been indifferent to things that have nothing to do with him.

"I don't think this is practical," Fred said suddenly after carefully reading the paper. "It requires superb shapeshifting skills. In fact, as you know, most wizards are terrible at shapeshifting."

"Your own transformation skills are terrible, don't try to link what other people say to you," Shanna glared at Fred, annoyed.

No one will admit that they are bad at something, even if it is true.

"Shut up, Fred." George reached out and covered his brother's mouth to stop him from speaking.

Just then, Baker walked over and patted Albert on the shoulder, saying, "How enviable! I never imagined that you would publish your first paper in 'Transfiguration Today' while you were still a freshman. This has completely broken Hogwarts' historical record. I remember that McDougal just broke the record not long ago, and I didn't expect you to break it again so quickly!"

"McDoug?" Shanna raised an eyebrow. The name reminded her of someone in Ravenclaw.

"Who's calling me?" Katrina McDougal asked when she heard someone calling her.

The atmosphere at the scene was extremely awkward.

"What's wrong?" Katrina sensed the change in atmosphere and frowned unhappily.

"Nothing?" Albert coughed lightly. "I wasn't talking about you."

"I didn't expect Isabel to have a sister?" Baker looked at Katrina McDoug with surprise. "I've never heard her mention her before."

"Why would she bring it up?" Field asked Baker.

"Just out of curiosity."

"Katrina was in the same year as me," Albert said, indicating that he knew this.

Katrina already guessed who these guys were talking about: her sister Isabel, who was indeed a genius in every field.

However, this guy in front of her seemed to be even more talented than her sister. She had just read Albert's paper not long ago, and it was on a completely different level from her own.
