Chapter 140 - Not for people to see

After breakfast, Albert and the others chatted for a while in the auditorium, while Fred, George, and Lee Jordan planned to go to the library.

"I had no idea you two had become so diligent?" Percy asked, raising an eyebrow as he stared at his brothers.

"We've always been very hardworking," Fred couldn't help but protest.

"We're going to check something, does Albert want to come along?" George instinctively looked at Albert.

"Have you forgotten? Albert made an appointment with Professor Broad." Li Jordan rolled his eyes at the two of them and said sarcastically, "You two bastards have the nerve to say I have a bad memory."

"We were wrong," the twins said in unison.

"Hmph, it's good that you know you were wrong." Li Qiaodan proudly raised his nose and quickly started playing around with the twins again.

"Don't forget the Quidditch practice this afternoon," Angelina reminded the twins, then turned to Albert and asked, "And you?"

"I'm afraid that won't work," Albert said, shaking his head.

"What are you doing at Professor Broad's?" Arya asked curiously. As far as she knew, Albert had been going to Professor Broad's place for the past few weeks, though she didn't know what he was doing there.

"Hmm, it's a secret, oh!" Albert winked at the group.

"Are you close to Professor Brod?" Percy looked at Albert with some surprise. "As far as I know, that professor is quite a remarkable person."

"I'm not sure." Albert took out his pocket watch, checked the time, and said, "Alright, I have to go now."

"This guy is always so mysterious, I wonder what he's up to?" Angelina muttered. "He's skipped Quidditch practice several times already, and Charlie hasn't been too happy about it. You know, ever since Albert caught the Golden Snitch, he's been Charlie's chosen successor to the Seeker."

"Imperial designation?" Shanna didn't understand what that meant.

"Charlie will be graduating soon, and the next Quidditch captain will be Wood. Charlie originally planned to let Albert stay in the pursuit position for a while. However, he himself isn't too enthusiastic about Quidditch." To be honest, Angelina was quite envious of Albert's good luck.

"He has a lot going on, and don't forget about the Transformation Club…" Shanna reminded him.

Just then, an older male student walked over, and his voice quickly rang in everyone's ears, "Where's Anderson? Has anyone seen him?"

"Baker, what do you want with Anderson?" Angelina, Aria, and Shanna could all hear the respect in Percy's voice.

"I heard Anderson ate here," Baker said with a helpless expression. "He hasn't been to the Transformers Club in a long time, so I came to ask him what's going on."

"Albert just left; Professor Brod wants to see him," Shanna explained.

"Professor Brod?" Baker frowned, turning to Shanna and saying, "You must tell him not to forget to submit the paper for the Transformation Club. That's all, I'm leaving now."

"Who is he?" Angelina asked curiously.

"You guys don't even know Baker? He's the student council president of Gryffindor. I heard he's published an article in Transfiguration Today and even won the Transfiguration Today's Most Promising Newcomer Award."

Baker is Percy's role model, just like his brother Bill, but right now the student council president is shining brighter than his brother Bill.

"I feel like I can see Albert a few years from now," Aria suddenly said.

"I feel the same way," Shanna agreed with Aria's point of view.

...

At that moment, Albert, the man everyone was talking about, was standing at the door of the Defense Against the Dark Arts office on the second floor. However, he was quite surprised to run into an acquaintance here: Izabel of Ravenclaw.

Then...

"A paper?" Albert pulled out his notebook, only to find that there was no relevant record in it.

"You were absent the week before last," Izebel reminded her.

"Oh, when is it due?"

"The Transformation Club at night."

"It's too late!" Albert was speechless. If it had been a little earlier, he would have had time to write, but now... it was too late.

"If you go and write it now…" Isabel looked at Albert suspiciously and asked curiously, "By the way, did you come to see Professor Brod for something?"

"Well, something's come up." Albert raised his hand and knocked on the office door.

"Earlier than I expected." Professor Brod greeted Albert with a smile. His gentle smile startled Isabel, who was standing next to Albert, and he looked at Albert suspiciously.

"Izebel, come in too!"

The Defense Against the Dark Arts office was a complete mess. Not only were the desks piled high with books and parchment, but the walls were also covered with all sorts of parchment—the results of Albert and his team's recent research.

"What's going on?" Izabel stared wide-eyed at the Defense Against the Dark Arts Office in front of him, hardly believing his eyes. Was this still the Defense Against the Dark Arts Office?

In Isabel's memory, Professor Brod's office was a warm and comfortable place, so how did he end up looking like a research fanatic?

"It's nothing. Could you please take these books to Mrs. Pins and also borrow the books mentioned on the note?" Professor Brod said to Izebel, pointing to the books on the parchment.

Then he picked up a roll of parchment from his desk and handed it to Albert. "Mogg asked me to give this to you. He'll be here soon. Take a look."

"Is this the finished product?" Albert asked, taking the parchment and glancing at its contents.

"No, this is only a semi-finished product; he's only completed one-third," Professor Brod asked. "What would you like to drink?"

"Milk tea, please. I just finished breakfast not long ago." Albert sat on the sofa and began to flip through the parchment Professor Brod handed him, nodding and saying, "It's faster than I expected."

He was somewhat surprised, but even more surprised was Izebel, who was just about to leave and was trying to figure out what was going on.

"Uncle Mog is coming to the school?" Izabel was very surprised by this news. In her memory, Uncle Mog was a very busy man.

"Mogg is writing a book, and Albert and I are helping him," Professor Broad casually explained. "You can come over and lend a hand later. I remember you've started working with ancient runes, which will be very helpful in improving your ancient runes."

"Oh?" Isabel gave Albert a deep look, then took the book and left.

"How is it?" Professor Brod asked.

"I don't think many people can understand it." Albert flipped through a few pages and finally came to this conclusion. "This is not a book written for ordinary people. Without a deep knowledge of ancient magic script, even if you know the meaning of every word, it will be difficult to understand the contents of the book."

It's worth noting that Albert himself was involved in the book's creation.

Recently, even those who have mastered the ancient magic script have found it somewhat difficult to understand, let alone others.

The small book-reading platform that book lovers used before is no longer available; now they are mostly using the Mimi Reading app.

What is the significance of such a book?

Seemingly guessing Albert's thoughts, Professor Brod smiled and said, "Actually, I don't understand this book very well either. In Mog's words, it's designed to raise the level of the entire ancient runes. It doesn't matter if ordinary people can't understand it; there will always be someone who can."
