Chapter 157 - Fake

It is said that Gryffindor cannot keep a secret, and that is absolutely true!

The story of Albert venturing alone into the Forbidden Forest in the middle of the night and pulling Fred and George out of it has now spread widely among Hogwarts students.

It is said that on his way deep into The Woods, Albertalso killed a large number of spider monsters, and finally, with the help of a Centaur, successfully found the Weasley Brothers.

Anyway, this incident was spread in a very mysterious way, becoming a great legendary story of Gryffindor.

Of course, some people scoffed at the so-called legendary story.

After all, you can never expect a first-year student to single-handedly break into the Forbidden Forest and successfully defeat a large group of terrifying monsters. Are they still dreaming?

No matter how fierce or outrageous the rumors spread, Albert neither admitted nor denied them.

The morning after the rumors spread throughout the school, a large group of students surrounded Albert at the dining table, asking about this legendary adventure.

Albert, who was eating, reluctantly put down his fork, looked up, and said to everyone, "Actually, that night, I defeated a large number of spider monsters along the way, and almost got into a fight with a Centaur.

In the end, it was through negotiation that the Centauragreed to take me to find the red sparks Fred had set off.

When I arrived, I saw Fred and George trapped on a tree by a large group of spider monsters.

In the end, I turned the tide, and with great difficulty, defeated the spider monsters and drove away those Acromantula, saving the Weasley Brothers."

The Great Hall fell into an eerie silence, and everyone looked at each other.

After a moment, someone finally couldn't help but snicker.

"It's right not to believe it," Albert sighed deeply and said to all the listeners in a helpless tone, "You actually believe such rumors and even come to ask me if it's true.

I really don't know if you think you have too little holiday homework?"

Many people's faces instantly darkened.

They all heard the implication in Albert's words: you believe rumors and then come to ask me, are you bored, or are you mentally challenged?

After all, since Albert, the person involved, said so, the matter naturally ended there.

"Is this really false?" Sanna couldn't help but ask further.

"Who knows?" Albert said indifferently, "Next time, believe fewer rumors.

Stupidity is a disease that can spread everywhere.

Whether some things are true or not, you need to judge for yourself."

"I believe you defeated over a hundred spider monsters," Sanna suddenly said, "Gryffindor gained sixty points."

"As long as you're happy!" Albert's mouth twitched, and he replied helplessly.

"This is certainly true, I'm telling you, Albert..." Fred was about to tell Sanna what happened when Albert glared at him fiercely.

"I remember you still have a week of detention, right?" Albert suddenly interrupted Fred, "Filch asked me to tell you to remember to go to his office for detention at six o'clock tonight."

Detention?

So, this really was true.

Sanna thought this as she looked at the dejected Weasley Brothers.

Gryffindor's points suddenly increasing by sixty was not fake.

If the points hadn't suddenly increased so much, no one would have believed this rumor, let alone wanted to hear the so-called truth.

This matter was too absurd.

However, the points were right there, which is why the previous scene occurred.

After all, this incident was truly legendary, and many people were unwilling to believe that a first-year student could do it.

When Albert said it was just a rumor, they would comfort themselves by saying it was fake and then disperse.

As for mocking Albert about it?

They didn't see that he himself didn't say it was true, and he even casually labeled everyone watching as mentally challenged.

If they continued to dwell on this, wouldn't they just appear very stupid?

"But what about the points?" Angelina asked curiously.

"Actually, Lee Jordan and I promptly told Professor McGonagall about this, and helped Professor McGonagall confirm through an Owl that Fred and George had entered The Woods, so Professor added thirty points to each of us."

Albert gave Lee Jordan a meaningful look, and the latter nodded repeatedly, indicating that this was indeed the case.

Angelina looked at the two of them suspiciously and stopped pressing the issue.

"Ahem, let's go to the Library to do our holiday homework!" Albert suggested.

Fred and George raised both hands in agreement; their homework progress was far slower than others'.

Lee Jordan also didn't refuse; finishing early would free up time to play.

"I suddenly feel those people are so silly, actually believing your nonsense like that!" Fred mumbled.

"That's because they're unwilling to admit it," a voice sounded behind Albert.

The four stopped and turned their heads to look in the direction of the voice; it was Isabelle.

"Professor Broad is looking for you," Isabelle said to Albert.

"Sorry, let's do homework together another day," Albertcast an apologetic look at his roommates and walked towards the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor's office on the second floor.

"Congratulations on becoming a popular figure at Hogwarts.

Many people are discussing your deeds now.

Perhaps you can record this incident in your notes, and in a few years, it will become a legendary story."

"No thanks," Albert said grumpily, "And next time, listen to fewer rumors.

Listening to too much of that stuff will make people stupid and easily cause them to lose basic judgment."

"There's a special contribution medal for you in the trophy room, if you don't believe me, go see for yourself," Isabelle glanced at Albert and reminded him indifferently, "Next time, when you're fooling others, remember not to show too many flaws."

"I'm just stating the outcome everyone wants to hear!" Albert merely shrugged, completely unbothered by Isabelle exposing him.

"Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth; all they want to hear is the outcome they desire.

There's no need to butt heads with them; it's meaningless."

Isabelle scrutinized Albert and then suddenly said, "Next time you talk to me, remember to rein in your bad habit.

When you treat others as fools, don't you think you're being quite foolish yourself?"

"I'm just stating the facts," Albert said, shrugging.

"So, that incident was true, you really..." A voice suddenly sounded.

As Albert stopped, he happened to see Katrina walking towards them.

"False," Albert replied directly.

"Do I look stupid?" Katrina looked at her sister Isabelle, seemingly seeking an answer from her.

"False," Isabelle said.

Katrina: "..." Do you think I didn't hear your conversation just now?

"Whether it's true or not, this matter is already considered false," Isabelle explained.

"Why?" Katrina asked, puzzled.

"Because I, the person involved, said it was false!" Albert said as a matter of course, "So, this matter is naturally false."
