We start the chapter with Naruto waking up in his cozy, simple bedroom. His bed looks especially comfortable, and he's wearing nice pajamas. Other than the bed, he has a small couch, a tiny TV, and a green plant next to his bed. On the wall, there are posters of noodles, his favorite food, and the Hidden Leaf emblem.
Naruto goes into the dressing room and changes into his iconic orange outfit. He was about to put on his old green goggles but smiles to himself, remembering that he's a real ninja now. Instead, he proudly ties his Leaf headband around his forehead.
We see him eating breakfast egg noodles with milk smiling brightly and ready for the day ahead. Today, he'll finally find out who his ninja squad members are.
Walking down the village streets, Naruto browses some shops, thinking about buying a cool artifact to remember this day or maybe a small present for one of his new teammates. But suddenly, a random villager shouts,
"Get out of here, you demon!"
Naruto frowns and shouts back,
"Shut up, you smelly old man!"
His mood is instantly ruined. He decides to leave the market street and wander off elsewhere.
As Naruto walks around, feeling down, he bumps into Konohamaru.
"Hey, Naruto! I challenge you to a duel!"
"Sorry, Konohamaru, I'll be late for orientation," Naruto says.
"Orientation?" Konohamaru asks, confused.
Naruto proudly points at his headband.
"Today's my first official day as a ninja!"
We shift to another scene — Sakura Haruno getting ready for orientation. She's obsessing over her look in the mirror, switching from one hairstyle to another.
From downstairs, her mom shouts,
"Sakura, you should be leaving now, or you'll be late!"
"I know that, Mom!" Sakura replies.
We hear her inner monologue, which appears in black and white — her inner thoughts and expression showing.
"I'm a ninja now… when will she stop treating me like a kid?"
She stares at her reflection — her green eyes and pink hair and smiles.
"This will impress Sasuke," she says, finally satisfied with her look.
The camera pans across her room: a large bed with a pink blanket, a mirror, a desk full of study books, and a small bathroom with a pink toothbrush
Sakura walks through the roads of Konoha, passing food stalls, shops, and vendors. She stops briefly at a flower shop — just as Ino Yamanaka steps out.
"Hey, Sakura."
"Hey, Ino."
"They actually let you graduate?" Ino teases.
"Those classes are ancient history," Sakura smirks. "We're equals now and I won't lose to you ever again."
She speeds up toward the academy.
"I won't lose to you either!" Ino replies, and they both start racing.
At the academy, Naruto sits proudly at his desk, still grinning about how cool he looked in front of Konohamaru.
Shikamaru Nara walks up to him.
"You're not supposed to be here. Only graduates — not dropouts — "
"Look closer," Naruto says, grinning. "This is a ninja headband. That means I graduated! Or are you blind?"
Shikamaru cant believe his eyes.
"Hey, Shikamaru, how would you feel about being on the same team as me?"
"That would probably be a drag," Shikamaru sighs.
In the distance, Hinata Hyuga quietly stares at Naruto.
"Wow… I'm glad he graduated. He looks so lively wearing that headband…"
We shift scenes again Sasuke Uchiha walking through the village on his way to the academy.
A kind mother and her son approach him.
"Sasuke, come by our house for dinner if you'd like," the mom says warmly.
"Thank you, but I'll be okay," Sasuke replies.
He bites his lip, hating the pity in her voice.
Sasuke countunious his way to the academy
"Why did you invite him, Mom?" the boy asks.
"Because that boy doesn't have a family," she replies softly.
At the academy, Naruto greets him smugly:
"Ha! I arrived before you!"
Sasuke ignores him and takes a seat. The girls above start giggling.
Moments later, Sakura and Ino burst through the door, both arriving at the same time.
"Yay, I won!" Ino says.
"Are you delusional? It was obviously me," Sakura fires back.
Naruto glances toward Sakura, thinking,
"Wow… she's even more beautiful today."
Sakura smiles and looks toward Naruto's direction. Naruto grins, thinking,
"She must like how my headband looks on me."
But in reality, Sakura is staring at Sasuke, who's sitting right next to him. She runs to him.
"Hey, how are you doing, Sakura?" Naruto says.
"Move it! I'm sitting next to Sasuke!" she says, shoving him aside.
Naruto looks betrayed, while Ino rushes up.
"You're not sitting next to Sasuke! I got here first!"
Then another girl pipes up,
"Well, I got here before both of you, so I'm sitting next to him!"
We shift to the Hokage's office, where several Jonin instructors are gathered.
Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, points at Sasuke's photo.
"He's the most promising and strongest of his class."
Kurenai says,
"He's the only surviver of the Uchiha clan incident ."
Hiruzen then points to Naruto's photo.
"And this one — a bit of a troublemaker."
Kakashi Hatake looks closely.
"So this is the infamous Naruto Uzumaki."
The other Jonin in the room — Asuma Sarutobi and Izumo Kamizuki — remain silent, listening.
Back at the academy, Iruka stands in front of the class.
"Congratulations! You are all officially Genin — beginner ninja. What you've experienced so far was difficult and painful, but it's nothing compared to what's to come. Life as a ninja will be extremely hard, so persevere. I wish you all success as my wonderful pupils."
He smiles.
"Now, I'll reveal your three-man squads, each led by a Jonin."
Ino whispers,
"Only one of us can be on a team with Sasuke."
"Yeah, let's leave it to fate," Sakura says, but her inner monologue insists, "It's definitely going to be me."
Naruto hopes to be with Sakura, while Sasuke thinks, "A three-man squad will only slow me down."
Iruka reads,
"Squad 7: Naruto Uzumaki…" Naruto jumps in joy.
"Sakura Haruno…" Sakura sighs in disappointment.
"And Sasuke Uchiha."
Now Naruto looks miserable while Sakura cheers.
Next, Iruka calls,
"Squad 8: Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame."
Hinata thinks, "Damn… I wish I was with Naruto." Kiba grins confidently, and Shino stays silent.
Sakura mocks Ino with a peace sign.
"Damn it! Why did it have to be you with Sasuke!" Ino says.
"What do you even see in him?" Shikamaru asks.
"You're clueless, aren't you?" Ino snaps.
"No — I'm not a girl, that's why I'm asking, duh."
"Jealousy's a terrible thing," Ino teases. "Wouldn't want to be on your team?"
Iruka continues,
"Squad 10: Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi."
Ino thinks, "Not food boy and dull boy…" while Choji munches on chips.
Naruto groans,
"Why does a great ninja like me have to be with a slug like Sasuke?"
Sakura snaps,
"What was that!?"
Iruka explains,
"Sasuke had the best overall score. You had the worst. So the best with the worst."
The class bursts into laughter.
"Don't hold me back," Sasuke says.
"What was that!?" Naruto shouts.
"You deaf?" Sasuke mocks, and the class laughs again.
Naruto charges at him, but Sakura stops him.
"Just be quiet, Naruto!"
Iruka ends,
"After lunch, you'll meet your Jonin senseis. Dismissed!"
Outside, Sakura looks for Sasuke.
"Where did he go? Since we're on the same team, we should eat together."
Naruto walks up.
"Hey, should we eat lunch together?"
"What made you think that?" Sakura says coldly.
"Since we're on the same squad—"
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Naruto, stop it! You're annoying!"
She storms off.
Naruto later sits on the roof, sighing.
"There has to be a way to deal with Sasuke…"
He spots Sasuke eating quietly and smirks.
At another balcony, Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji are eating.
"The only way this team works is if I'm leader," Ino says.
"Yeah, sure, whatever," Shikamaru replies, thinking, "Otherwise she'd throw a fit anyway."
"Why don't you lead us to some barbecue, ?" Choji adds.
"Hopeless," Ino sighs.
Then Shikamaru points.
"Hey, what's Naruto doing sneaking around?"
"That idiot's going to sneak attack Sasuke," Ino says.
Naruto jumps through the window. Ten seconds later, Sasuke walks out.
"Wow, Sasuke beat Naruto in ten seconds — even after a sneak attack," Shikamaru says.
"What did you expect? My boy Sasuke or idiotic Naruto?" Ino smirks.
Sakura sits alone on a bench, thinking,
"What's the rush? I'll be in Sasuke's squad for a long time anyway."
Then she sighs.
"How could he like me? I have such a wide forehead…"
She looks up and sees Sasuke staring at her from a nearby tree. She blushes.
"That glare… so majestic. Oh, when will we be married?"
Sasuke approaches.
"Hey, how are you?"
"I'm doing good," Sakura blushes.
"You have a beautiful forehead. Can I kiss it?" Sasuke says.
Sakura's face turns red.
"I'm sorry," Sasuke adds. "That's something dumb Naruto would say."
"So… what do you think of Naruto?" he asks.
"He knows about my feelings and interferes every time," she says angrily. "He's annoying, loud, stupid, clumsy, with no redeeming qualities."
Sasuke silently clutches his chest, almost tearful.
"All I want is for you to love me," Sakura adds, leaning closer — but Sasuke suddenly says,
"Sorry, I need the bathroom," and runs off.
Moments later, we see the real Sasuke tied up elsewhere.
"Damn it, I lowered my guard. He attacked me with five real clones… impressive."
Sasuke uses chakra on the ropes —
"Rope Escape Jutsu!" — freeing himself.
Meanwhile, Naruto, suffering from diarrhea, mutters in the bathroom,
"Sakura's pretty, but she hates me… thinks I'm annoying. Maybe I'll transform into Sasuke and make him more unlikable than me."
Back outside, Sasuke meets Sakura.
"Hey Sasuke, ready to carry on?" she smiles.
"What are you talking about?"
"You silly goose, you were about to kiss me!"
"That wasn't me. That was Naruto. Do you know where he went?"
Shocked, Sakura points to the bathroom.
"That bastard Naruto tricked me…" she thinks.
"Wait, Sasuke, you don't have to look for him! Eat lunch with me!"
Sakura says naruto is annoying he acts irresponsible
because he has no parents to tell him right from wrong thats what make him unbearable .
Sasuke stops, then replies coldly,
"Shut up. You're annoying. You don't know what it feels like to be alone."
Sakura freezes, tears forming as Sasuke walks away.
Sasuke finds Naruto outside the bathroom. He just left
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto shouts, summoning five clones.
"That trick won't work again," Sasuke says — but Naruto suddenly clutches his stomach and rushes back to the toilet.
"What a loser," Sasuke mutters, walking off.
Sakura, , feels guilt.
"So this is how he must feel… Next time, I'll treat him better."
She sees Naruto walking alone by the bench.
"Hey Naruto, walk with me back to class," she says kindly.
"You're trying to trick me, wise guy," Naruto replies suspiciously — then runs back to the bathroom.
"That jerk… maybe I shouldn't have tried," Sakura sighs.
We cut to the Hokage's office again.
Hiruzen and Kakashi are there, looking through Naruto's small apartment.
"So this is where Naruto lives?" Kakashi asks.
"Yes. He'll be on your team alongside Sasuke and Sakura. You'll need luck, Kakashi."
"Why do you let him live alone in such conditions? He's even drinking expired milk
Hiruzen sighs.
"Naruto used to live secretly in the Sarutobi household. Only a few knew. He stayed there until age six, then insisted on living alone. I refused, but he'd sneak out and sleep on the floor, refusing to eat. So I allowed it — under supervision of a kind maid he liked. She passed away two years ago. I offered another caretaker, but he refused again, saying he's old enough. He'd run away if I forced him. This… is the life he chose."
