The roulette slowed imperceptibly...
As seconds turned to minutes, Henry's body trembled with barely contained anticipation.
A full three minutes had passed before the wheel came to a slow, decisive halt.
Henry watched intently... his smile widened as the pointer hovered over a single line of glowing text.
'NARUTO'
"Yes... yes!" He spun around joyfully.
"Naruto...! Lets go...!"
His excitement was palpable, this was his dream come true.
He was already fantasizing about wielding unimaginable levels of power in the world of Naruto.
While he was still in full celebration mode, the roulette flashed brightly once more.
It was only after he'd been woken up from his stupor, that he noticed the subtle shifts that had taken place.
The words being displayed on the wheel had completely changed.
"Luffy, Ichigo, Goku, this..."
Henry's eyes widened for a brief moment, before his expression fell slightly.
A glowing message was boldly displayed within the center of the roulette.
'Appearance selection: Note, the powers and abilities possessed by the chosen character will not be granted.'
"This is a scam!" He shouted fiercely, though he calmed down soon after.
'There must be an ability selection after this, right?' he thought as he took a deep breath.
"Hah." sighing, he waved his hand dismissively.
"Just spin already... you cheap wheel." The latter part of his sentence came out barely above a whisper.
The wheel spun fiercely again...
"Stop!" He shouted loudly, he didn't want to wait another three minutes this time.
The roulette slowed gradually, spinning gently before coming to a complete stop.
'GOJO SATORU'
The pointer hovered over the glowing line of text.
Five seconds passed, ten seconds, fifteen seconds, then...
"Hahahahaha.... YES! LET'S GO!" He laughed uncontrollably.
He had no complaints... even if he didn't get any of Satoru's overpowered abilities, he was already extremely satisfied.
The moment the roulette had flashed another bright light, he stared at it intently.
The words 'Double Perk selection' were vividly displayed within the center of the wheel.
Around it were numerous powers and abilities that were paired together as single options.
"Mind reading and flight, super regeneration and heat vision, magma fruit and shadow clone technique..."
His grin widened. "Alright!... let's do this," he was almost oozing excitement at this point.
There were also some very stupid abilities being displayed, like super spit and scent magic, but he hoped he wouldn't get any of that crap.
He shouted at the top of his voice "Spin... Stop!"
The wheel spun fiercely at his command, before gradually slowing down.
Henry's eyes were glued to the roulette wheel, not daring to blink as the pointer crawled painfully slow across the selections.
When it finally stood still, the displayed texts shook him to his very core.
'THUNDER FRUIT and FIVE STAR AVATAR TECHNIQUE'
He celebrated instantly. "Now that's what I'm talking about!"
He had no clue what the Five Star Avatar Technique was, but the words 'Thunder Fruit' alone were enough to make him explode with delight.
"I don't know how the powers of the Thunder Fruit would adapt within the Naruto universe, but it's bound to be an incredible ability!"
His excitement wasn't unwarranted...
This was one of the most powerful abilities in the One Piece universe.
The Thunder fruit granted its user the ability to create, control and transform into lightning as they pleased.
Not to mention being able to travel at lightning speeds and unleash devastating large-scale electrical attacks, that can affect multiple targets simultaneously.
"This is way more than I could've ever ask for... but what's this 'Five Star Avatar Technique' supposed to be?"
His thoughts spun rapidly as he tried to decipher the meaning of the technique, judging by the word 'Avatar' that is used, could it be some type of cloning ability?
"Ah, whatever." He shrugged, not bothering to wrack his brain over it, the Thunder Fruit's ability had already given him the means to stand as an equal with some of the top powerhouses in the Naruto universe.
'No need to stress over it, at this point it'll just be an auxiliary technique anyway.' He mused, though for some reason, he felt that he wasn't seeing the full picture.
The roulette pulsed suddenly, instantly pulling him from his thoughts.
The temperature within the void rose unnaturally, the heat radiated outwards with the roulette at the source.
'Something's not right.' He thought wryly.
A sense of foreboding swelled within Henry's heart as the wheel began to spin rapidly without warning.
"Awe hell nah!" He shouted, bolting in the opposite direction.
He had no desire to stick around for whatever would happen next.
Henry fled the area madly.
Breaststrokes, butterflies, doggie paddles... he performed every style of swimming imaginable as he squirmed comically through the void to escape.
He hadn't gotten far when the roulette accelerated further... it spun wildly for a few seconds before transforming into a huge, spiraling vortex of golden light.
Henry couldn't get away... a tremendous force instantly locked onto his frantically escaping form, pulling him backwards towards the spinning vortex.
"Wait! wait..!" He shouted desperately as his body was helplessly dragged towards it.
"Ahh...!" His final yell was cut of abruptly as he was pulled inside the vortex, disappearing completely from the endless void.
