Crossing the main central street, Akira Tsubaki slipped into a narrow alleyway.

Opening a somewhat rusty gate, a modest, unpretentious courtyard came into view.

This was Akira's residence.

To be precise, it was left to him by his parents.

His parents had perished in the war, leaving behind this house and a sum of compensation money.

Sitting on a wooden chair in the courtyard, Akira began his usual session of deep, anticipatory thought.

"Tomorrow, the System activates tomorrow," he murmured to himself, as a nearly transparent screen shimmered before his eyes.

[Daily Doubling System Activation Countdown: 7 hours 44 minutes 31 seconds]

Below this banner was his personal attribute panel:

Name:

Akira Tsubaki

Age:12

Strength:9

Constitution:9

Agility:9

Spirit:20

Chakra:47

Skills:None

Ninjutsu:None

Overall Strength Rating:Trainee Genin

A smirk touched Akira's lips as his gaze settled on the word 'Trainee'.

The reason he hadn't bothered to learn the Three Body Techniques (Substitution, Transformation, Clone) or kunai throwing at the Ninja Academy was precisely because of this yet-to-be-activated cheat—his 'Golden Finger' System.

He wasn't sure which attribute or skill the daily doubling would apply to.

"If it's a random doubling every day, then the probability of doubling a core attribute decreases with every new, useless skill I master."

"Instead of that, I might as well stay a zero and wait for the System to activate."

Akira's strategy was clear:

First, he would focus on doubling his four core physical attributes, ideally boosting them to Kage-level or even Super Kage-level.

Then, he would start learning skills and Ninjutsu.

This way, even without mastering flashy techniques, his physical strength alone would be enough to protect him.

Conversely, if he rushed to learn kunai throwing, the Three Body Technique, or even some low-level Ninjutsu, his strength would be too mixed and unfocused during this crucial period.

Of course, if the System doubled everything, he wouldn't have had to worry about any of this.

He closed the System screen and silently read the countdown numbers in his mind.

He fell asleep while reading.

What a truly effective sleep aid.

Inside a two-story residence.

Minato Namikaze knocked on the door and then stepped inside.

"Huh? Minato, weren't you supposed to be leading a new squad today?" Kushina Uzumaki asked, slightly surprised, pausing her chore of folding clothes.

She and Minato were lovers, though not yet officially married.

Whenever Minato had something weighing on his mind, he would seek out Kushina to confide in her.

"Sigh! This squad… it's a long story."

Minato sighed dramatically and began to describe the bizarre composition of his new team.

"The bottom three ranked students, plus Kakashi, who no one else will team up with. The Third Hokage has really handed me a massive problem."

"So what are your plans?" Kushina asked with a supportive smile.

"I've decided to start with a classic test tomorrow—focusing entirely on teamwork."

"How?"

"The Bell Test."

"That's so old-fashioned," Kushina teased.

"Let's just see how it goes," Minato replied.

To be honest, Minato didn't have a better idea. The Bell Test was a standard evaluation every squad had to undergo, primarily to assess and develop team coordination.

"Then you might be disappointed. At the very least, Kakashi definitely won't cooperate; he'll try to fight alone," Kushina pointed out the critical flaw.

She knew a little about Kakashi's reputation. Strong, aloof, and extremely unsociable. Influenced by the tragic suicide of his father, Sakumo Hatake, Kakashi prioritized mission completion over his teammates' safety, which led to his exclusion.

It would be difficult for someone like him to learn teamwork through a simple Bell Test.

"Actually, I'm not worried about Kakashi. It's that last-place student, Akira Tsubaki, that worries me the most."

"He'd have a hard time surviving on an actual battlefield."

Minato Namikaze sighed, a genuine headache forming in his temples.

He then placed the three students' graduation records in front of Kushina.

Kushina was stunned after seeing Akira's scores. How could someone with results like that graduate from the Ninja Academy?

What exactly was the Third Hokage thinking?

Especially Akira Tsubaki.

So many zeroes, not even knowing the most basic Three Body Techniques—was he even qualified to be called a Genin?

"Is war coming?"

Kushina muttered to herself, a chilling realization dawning.

The village only lowered the graduation standards for the Ninja Academy when a major conflict was imminent.

And now, a person who wasn't even qualified to be cannon fodder had graduated—that spoke volumes about the desperation.

Such a person, if sent to the battlefield, would be signing their own death warrant.

"Achoo!"

Akira Tsubaki sneezed loudly, waking up abruptly in his chair.

Looking at the dim sky, he was in a good mood.

He'd successfully wasted another afternoon. He was one step closer to the System's activation.

He went back to his room, ate some leftovers, and went straight to bed.

"After all, I'll probably be too excited to sleep tonight, so I need to catch up on my sleep now."

Time passed quickly. As dawn broke, Akira woke up precisely on schedule.

He stared intently at the countdown, his mind racing.

"Come on, my cheat code!"

"The strongest in the Ninja World starts with me!"

"I am the sun!"

10 seconds.

5 seconds.

1 second.

["Ding! Daily Doubling System Activated."]

["Starting random daily doubling!"]

["Agility doubled!"]

After these three System notifications, Akira's mind went silent.

He looked down at his attribute panel:

Name:

Akira Tsubaki

Age:12

Strength:9

Constitution:9

Agility:18 (9 × 2) Genin Rank

Spirit:20

Chakra:47

Skills:None

Ninjutsu:None

Overall Strength Rating:Trainee Genin

"That's it?"

Seeing that his strength rating still stubbornly showed "Trainee Genin," Akira felt a sharp pang of disappointment.

Perhaps this was a classic case of the greater the expectation, the greater the subsequent letdown.

But then, he quickly adjusted his mindset.

"In just one day, my speed has directly advanced to basic Genin level. I should absolutely be content."

What was there to be dissatisfied about?

If he calculated the rate, it would only take him four days to completely double his attributes to Genin level across the board.

Ten days to half a month to reach Chunin.

One or two months to Jonin.

"Six months to Kage level?"

"One year to Super Kage level?"

"Three years to destroy the moon?! I ask you, who else can do that!"

Filled with boundless, chaotic ambition, Akira Tsubaki couldn't help but leap out of bed in triumph.

Then...

He bumped his head squarely on the ceiling, raising a huge, painful lump.
