Chapter 50 - THE VAST DOMAIN OF CORRUPTION

CHAPTER- THE VAST DOMAIN OF CORRUPTION

The warfront had fallen silent.

For the first time in days, the sky above the corrupted forest no longer trembled with explosions, magic cannons, and screams of dying soldiers.

Instead—

A strange calm settled over the land.

The once-fertile plains of the Eastern Empire's border had transformed into a vast dominion of corruption. Black vines spread across the soil like veins of a living organism. Trees twisted upward into unnatural shapes. The ground itself pulsed faintly with dark mana.

The territory no longer belonged to humans.

It belonged to Draven.

And for the next two months… the world would not interfere.

The Silence After Conquest

Far above the forest, dozens of ravens circled the skies.

They were not ordinary birds.

They were Draven's familiars.

Their crimson eyes glowed faintly as they scanned the horizon. Every movement across the conquered warfront region was recorded and relayed through a silent psychic link.

Inside the bunker, a large system panel floated before Draven.

A soft mechanical voice echoed in the chamber.

[Domain Authority Activated]

[Seclusion Period Initiated – Duration: 60 Days]

Draven leaned back in the stone throne of the command hall, his red eyes reflecting the glowing system interface.

"So it begins."

Behind him stood his generals.

A1.

B2.

C3.

Samuel.

The Gargoyle General.

Prince Varuk.

The Dark Elf.

And the newest addition—

The Dullahan, embodiment of Wrath.

All of them watched the panel silently.

Draven scrolled through the domain management menu.

Domain Status

Territory Size: Warfront Region – Fully Conquered

Outer Barrier: Corrupted Forest Dominion

Inner Barrier: Ancient Corruption Barrier

Defense Level: Extreme

Monster Population: Rapidly Increasing

Evolution Rate: Enhanced

Draven smirked.

"Perfect."

The Eastern Empire couldn't retaliate.

Their annual imperial anniversary was approaching. Nobles, kings, clan leaders, and ambassadors from across the continent would gather in the imperial capital.

If the empire entered a war now, the diplomatic summit would collapse.

No ruler wanted to attend a celebration in a nation actively losing territory.

Which meant the empire had only one choice.

Strengthen defenses.

Wait.

And pray Draven didn't advance further.

Unfortunately for them—

Draven had no intention of attacking… yet.

Because the system had already chosen the next phase.

Domain Development Phase

Draven opened the system inventory.

One item floated out.

A glowing crystal sphere radiating enormous mana.

Territory Core

The object hovered silently in the air.

"This," Draven said calmly, "will be the heart of our dominion."

The generals gathered around.

Even the towering Gargoyle leaned forward slightly.

Draven walked toward the bunker exit.

"Come."

The Birth of a Dark Territory

Outside the bunker, the forest had already changed.

Corrupted trees stretched across the horizon. Rivers of dark mana flowed beneath the ground like underground currents.

Monsters roamed freely.

Ape warriors.

Undead beasts.

Corrupted wolves.

Shadow creatures.

All of them stopped moving when Draven appeared.

Thousands of glowing eyes turned toward him.

And then—

They bowed.

Draven raised his hand.

The Territory Core floated into the air.

"Plant."

The crystal shot downward.

BOOM.

The ground trembled.

Dark energy erupted outward in massive waves.

The earth cracked.

Roots of black crystal spread underground like the roots of a colossal tree.

The entire region pulsed with power.

System notifications flashed rapidly.

[Territory Core Activated]

Functions Unlocked:

• Monster Creation

• Monster Evolution

• Resource Generation

• Territory Mana Regulation

• Autonomous Defense System

Draven watched calmly.

"This will handle population growth."

Prince Varuk crossed his arms.

"So the territory will create monsters on its own?"

"Yes."

Samuel chuckled darkly.

"That means our army will never stop growing."

The Dark Elf leaned against a tree, observing quietly.

The Gargoyle General nodded approvingly.

Efficient.

Very efficient.

The Dual Barrier

Draven extended his hand.

The Crown of Corruption Sovereign shimmered faintly.

Dark power surged outward.

A massive dome of corrupted energy formed over the entire warfront region.

Then—

Another barrier rose within it.

The older corrupted forest barrier.

Two layers of protection now surrounded the domain.

Anyone trying to enter would face:

The outer corrupted forest barrier

The inner ancient corruption barrier

Draven looked satisfied.

"No one enters without permission."

Distribution of the Monster Legions

The next task was organization.

Draven summoned the generals to the command hall.

A giant holographic map of the territory appeared.

Draven pointed at different regions.

"Monster legions will be stationed across the territory."

He assigned them calmly.

A1 would command the western forests.

B2 would lead aerial hunting units.

C3 would oversee magical defense formations.

Samuel would control undead legions.

The Gargoyle General would lead heavy assault monsters.

Prince Varuk would guard the coastal regions.

The Dullahan would patrol the borders as a death herald.

The Dark Elf—

She would oversee intelligence and research.

No one argued.

They simply accepted their roles.

Peace… For Once

For the first time since leaving the bunker days ago…

They were not fighting.

No battles.

No bloodshed.

Just preparation.

And strangely—

The atmosphere slowly changed.

Building the Domain

Draven stood beside a half-constructed wooden structure.

A1 stared at it.

"…What is this?"

Draven placed another beam in position.

"A house."

Samuel blinked.

"We… are building houses?"

"Yes."

The generals looked at each other.

The demon lord was building… houses.

Prince Varuk laughed.

"Well… this is new."

Even the Gargoyle General seemed slightly confused.

Draven shrugged.

"We will be here for two months."

He looked around.

"I refuse to sleep in a bunker forever."

Samuel smirked.

"That's fair."

So the generals helped.

Corrupted wood from giant trees was cut.

Stone blocks were carved.

Even the Gargoyle used gravity manipulation to move massive boulders effortlessly.

Within hours, the first structures appeared.

Simple.

But strong.

A small village was slowly forming around the bunker.

Training With New Powers

Once construction paused, the generals finally began testing their new abilities.

The training field was a massive clearing.

B2 stepped forward first.

She raised her bow.

"Elemental Tempest Barrage."

Hundreds of arrows appeared in the sky.

Lightning.

Fire.

Ice.

Wind.

They rained down like a storm.

BOOOOOOM.

The forest shook.

Samuel whistled.

"That's terrifying."

The Gargoyle General stepped forward next.

He lifted the Axe of the Berserker Titan.

Gravity condensed around him.

"Crushing Domain."

The ground instantly sank ten meters.

Trees snapped like twigs.

Prince Varuk raised an eyebrow.

"…I'm glad he's on our side."

Samuel tested his armor.

The Armor of the Demon Vanguard erupted with black flames.

"Necrotic Explosion."

A wave of dark energy blasted outward.

Undead monsters nearby actually grew stronger.

"Useful," Samuel muttered.

Prince Varuk spun the Black Moon Orb.

Water gathered around him.

"Tidal Lunge."

A spear of water shot forward at supersonic speed.

It drilled through five giant trees.

Varuk grinned.

"Oh I like this one."

The Dark Elf tested her new daggers silently.

"Shadow Storm."

Dozens of illusionary clones appeared around her.

Each one moved independently.

Even Draven watched with interest.

"Impressive."

She simply shrugged.

The Dullahan's New Form

At the edge of the forest—

The Dullahan stood beside his nightmare steed.

His severed head glowed faintly in his hand.

The skeletal horse pawed the ground impatiently.

"Shadow Gallop."

The horse burst forward like a phantom.

It ran across water.

Across cliffs.

Through shadows.

The Dullahan vanished and reappeared miles away instantly.

Perfect border patrol.

A Rare Moment of Calm

As night fell, a strange sight appeared in the corrupted forest.

Draven sat beside a small fire.

The generals sat around it.

No enemies.

No battle.

Just silence.

Samuel smoked quietly.

Prince Varuk stared at the stars.

The Gargoyle stood like a statue nearby.

Even the Dark Elf relaxed slightly.

Draven looked at the newly built houses.

"At this pace, the territory will be fully operational in a month."

A1 nodded.

"And our army will double."

Samuel chuckled.

"Maybe triple."

The Dullahan remained silent.

But the death aura around him had softened slightly.

For the first time since becoming monsters…

They were not fighting to survive.

They were building something.

A kingdom.

A dark one.

But a kingdom nonetheless.

Draven looked toward the distant Eastern Empire.

Two months.

That's how long the world would ignore them.

Two months to prepare.

Two months to grow stronger.

Two months to build an army that could shake empires.

Draven smirked faintly.

"Enjoy the peace."

His red eyes glowed in the darkness.

"Because when it ends…"

The corrupted forest rustled ominously.

"…the world will remember our name."
