Chapter 51 - THE BEGINNING OF SECLUSION

CHAPTER- THE BEGINNING OF SECLUSION

The corrupted forest had entered its first true phase of evolution.

Not war.

Not slaughter.

But construction.

For the first time since Draven seized the warfront region, the land was not trembling from battle… it was transforming.

And the transformation was massive.

The Rise of the Corrupted Dominion

Draven floated high above the forest.

His demonic wings spread slowly as the Crown of Corruption Sovereign pulsed faintly on his head.

Below him—

Thousands of monsters moved in organized formations.

The system panel floated before him.

[Domain Development Mission Active]

Objective:

Construct 10 Domain Structures and Facilities

Reward:

• Domain Enhancement Bonus

• New Monster Species Generation

• External Monsters May Submit to the Demon Lord

• Additional Hidden Rewards

Draven smirked.

"Let's build a kingdom."

Construction Begins

The corrupted forest roared with activity.

Using telekinesis, Draven lifted enormous slabs of stone from the ground.

With elemental manipulation, winds carried wooden planks through the air while pillars of earth shaped themselves into foundations.

The construction process looked like dark magic architecture.

Entire buildings formed in minutes.

But Draven wasn't alone.

His generals were working everywhere.

The Generals at Work

Gargoyle General

Deep inside the inner forest.

Massive stone blocks floated around the towering gargoyle warrior.

With precise movements of his gravity manipulation—

He polished gigantic stones into perfect rectangular pillars.

CLANG.

CLANG.

Each strike of his hammer created sparks.

The stones were destined for a massive structure.

A fortress wall.

The gargoyle rumbled in satisfaction.

"Strong foundations create strong kingdoms."

The Dark Elf's Monument

At the center of the developing territory—

The Dark Elf stood beside a massive statue.

A four-armed sentinel monument.

Using shadow blades and enchanted tools, she carved intricate runes into the stone.

The sentinel held four weapons.

Sword.

Spear.

Bow.

Scythe.

Each arm symbolized one thing:

Absolute defense of the domain.

The statue towered over the forest like a silent guardian.

The Dark Elf wiped dust from her face.

"Perfect."

A1 and B2 – The Lumber Division

Near the western forest region—

A1 and B2 commanded hundreds of monsters.

"Cut from the base," A1 ordered calmly.

Huge corrupted beasts swung massive axes.

Trees crashed to the ground.

B2 directed aerial monsters.

"Carry the planks to the southern construction zone!"

Flying beasts lifted entire tree trunks.

Vines were cut and bundled into rope.

Soon—

Mountains of wood stacked across the construction sites.

C3 – The Mining Overseer

Inside newly discovered mines—

C3 floated above glowing veins of ore.

His staff glowed as spirit magic surged.

"Extract carefully," he instructed.

Stone golems hammered the walls.

Ore crystals fell into carts.

The corrupted forest itself helped.

Roots moved aside to reveal new mineral deposits.

C3's eyes gleamed with excitement.

"Excellent… excellent…"

Samuel and the Dullahan

Near the forge pits.

Samuel stood beside a giant furnace burning with black flames.

Molten iron poured into massive molds.

The Dullahan stood silently beside him.

His nightmare steed watched the surroundings.

Samuel hammered the iron pillars.

CLANG.

CLANG.

CLANG.

"These pillars will hold the castle walls."

The Dullahan lifted a finished pillar effortlessly.

His death aura made nearby monsters nervous.

But the work continued.

The Monster Legions

Meanwhile—

Two powerful legions guarded the domain.

Blood Lancer Legion

Elite undead cavalry.

They patrolled the borders of the corrupted forest.

Their spears glowed faintly with dark energy.

Berserk Gargoyle Legion

Flying stone demons.

They watched the skies constantly.

Nothing entered unnoticed.

Two New Legions

Draven decided to expand the workforce.

Standing atop a hill, he raised both hands.

Dark magic surged outward.

"Golem Creation."

The earth shook.

Stone giants rose from the ground.

Then lightning, wind, water, and fire infused them.

Elemental Golems.

20,000 of them.

Then—

Draven placed his hand on the ground.

"Tree Sentinel Creation."

Corrupted trees twisted and transformed into living monsters.

Massive wooden giants awakened.

Tree Sentinels.

Another 20,000.

The domain suddenly had 40,000 construction monsters.

The generals stared.

Samuel whistled.

"Well… that speeds things up."

The Underground Network

The golems and tree sentinels worked nonstop.

They built roads.

Houses.

Defense towers.

But the most important project was underground.

A vast network of tunnels spread beneath the forest.

These tunnels connected directly to the sewer passages Draven had used earlier.

Meaning—

The domain had secret access routes across the warfront region.

All roads led to one place.

Draven's bunker.

Soon—

The bunker would become something far greater.

The Birth of the Demon Castle

At the center of the territory—

Construction of a massive castle had begun.

Black stone walls rose from the earth.

Dark towers twisted upward like claws reaching for the sky.

Strangely—

The corrupted domain itself helped.

Roots moved stones.

Mana currents stabilized structures.

The forest was literally building a palace for its monarch.

Draven watched silently.

Even he seemed slightly impressed.

Unexpected Visitors

Meanwhile—

Outside the corrupted forest barrier.

Adventurers had begun arriving.

Word had spread across the continent.

A mysterious demon lord had seized the eastern warfront.

Naturally—

Treasure hunters came.

Group One – The Barrier Breachers

Five elite adventurers approached the barrier.

"Ready?" their leader whispered.

They activated a magical artifact.

A glowing rune circle formed.

"Phase shift!"

They stepped into the barrier.

For two seconds…

It worked.

Then—

The corrupted forest responded.

Roots erupted from the ground.

A massive shadow appeared behind them.

The Dullahan.

His ghostly head glowed.

"Death Herald."

The adventurers froze in terror.

A moment later—

Their screams echoed through the forest.

Group Two – The Sky Infiltrators

Three aerial adventurers attempted entry from above.

Flying mounts dove toward the barrier.

"Almost inside!"

Then—

BOOM.

The Berserk Gargoyle Legion attacked.

Stone claws shredded their mounts instantly.

The survivors crashed into the forest.

Waiting below—

Samuel.

"Welcome."

Necrotic flames erupted.

Their fate was sealed.

Group Three – The Underground Sneaks

Another group tried tunneling beneath the barrier.

They dug quietly for hours.

Finally—

They broke through.

And found themselves surrounded by 20 elemental golems.

C3 appeared calmly.

"…You dug into the wrong kingdom."

Spectral chains wrapped around them.

No one entered Draven's domain.

No one escaped it.

C3's Unexpected Gift

Later that evening—

Two strange creatures crashed into the barrier.

Lightning exploded.

Fire erupted.

Two wounded spirits struggled against the domain defenses.

Samuel raised his sword.

"Enemies?"

The Dullahan's horse charged forward.

But before they attacked—

Draven appeared.

He raised a hand.

"Wait."

The spirits were familiar.

A lightning creature.

A flame salamander.

They were sent by the Phoenix long ago.

The spirits collapsed before Draven.

C3 rushed forward.

His eyes widened.

"High-level elemental spirits!"

Draven nodded.

"They belong to you."

C3 almost looked emotional.

He formed a spirit contract immediately.

Now he commanded:

Hellflame Bison

Demon Lightning Bat

Forest Flame Salamander

Plus dozens of lesser spirits.

C3 looked happier than anyone had ever seen him.

Meanwhile — The Eastern Empire Capital

Far away.

The capital of the Eastern Empire was buzzing.

The streets were packed.

Workers decorated buildings with banners.

Gold lanterns hung across the streets.

The imperial anniversary was approaching.

Merchants shouted.

Children ran through the markets.

Everything looked normal.

But something… strange was happening.

The Woman with Green Spores

A woman walked through the crowded street.

Her cloak covered most of her face.

She coughed quietly.

Inside her handkerchief—

A small splash of green liquid appeared.

She hid it quickly.

On her neck—

Tiny green spores grew beneath the cloth.

She bought vegetables from a stall.

"An apple too," she said softly.

The seller handed it to her.

Their hands touched briefly.

The woman walked away.

Moments later—

The seller scratched his hand.

Tiny green spores had appeared on his skin.

Another Place in the Capital

Inside a noble mansion.

Servants worked quietly.

One servant suddenly coughed.

Green liquid splashed onto the floor.

Another servant looked pale.

Then another.

Soon—

Several servants were coughing.

The City

Night fell.

Across the capital—

Coughing sounds echoed quietly.

In homes.

In taverns.

In noble estates.

People dismissed it as a simple illness.

No one noticed the tiny green spores spreading.

No one noticed the strange pattern.

And no one suspected—

That something had begun growing inside the empire itself.

Something silent.

Something patient.

Something deadly.

Back in the Corrupted Forest

Draven stood atop the rising castle.

The domain thrived.

The army grew.

The defenses strengthened.

And the world outside remained unaware.

Draven looked toward the distant empire.

His red eyes glowed faintly.

"Two months."

He smiled.

"That's more than enough time."

The corrupted forest rustled ominously.

The kingdom of monsters was rising.

And far away—

Something inside the empire had already begun to rot.
