Charles was shocked. The dead corpse had chunks missing. Bite and scratch marks were all over their bodies. As the blood drops, let to a mass of low hanging trees. Hearing growls deep in the throat of a beast. "Look at them." Charles said with a smile.
"Why would I look at them?" I questioned looking at the wolves. They seemed to be continuing to growl.
"There are being calorie jacked." Charles laughed. As he picked up the corpse on his shoulders.
"Calorie jacked?" I asked with shock in my voice I have no clue what he meant.
"Yeah it was where I took their food. There are calories so I think this term, Calorie jacked." Charles said with a smile.
"Okay. But they seem to be less aggressive than the Icicle Sloth." I said with a small nervous chuckle. But why?
"Because the prey has nothing to lose if it kills a predator then it saves nine others. There is a lot less predator than there is prey." Charles explains.
"That makes no sense." I said with a shrug of my bat body.
"Prey has nothing to lose except its life. Predator, you have to be worth the calories." Charles tries to explain it better.
"Okay we can pick this up later." I said with a small frown. As he continued to walk away. The wolves are just snarling. He gets back to the camp and drops the dead body at the feet of some others.
"Charles, we were waiting." Nikki said his pink hair was shining like the moon.
"Sorry about that." Charles said with a small nervous chuckle.
"Don't worry." Pluto said with a small bow. Sending a small glare at Nikki she glares back sparks flying between the two.
"Let go on our hunt." Charles said a small twitch on the end on his lips.
"Okay but do you know what with all these corpses that are being prepared?" Argent asked. Pointing at the corpses that Charles had hunted all down.
"Don't worry about it." Charles said with a false smile on his lips.
"Okay." Argent said with suspicion clouding his eyes like a foggy day.
"Let go." Nikki said with a small smile. Showing off her vampiric fangs. His bloody crimson orbs were burning with blood lust.
"Wow someone excited." Charles said in a mocking tone looking at Nikki with a playful smile. As they all walk into the forest following the stream of blood that Charles left after killing the massive Icicle Sloth.
"Let's make a bet that if I kill more than you owe me one favor and if I lose then I owe you one favor." Nikki said in one of his famous toothy grins.
"You're on." Charles said with a smile shaking Nikki's hands. As we heard a large amount of howling. What is it close to? Why would they be this close?
"What the hell?" Argent was shocked at how close it was. As they walk they see a huge amount of wolves with one being much bigger than the others and it having scarring on its face. There was no small amount of them. At least a hundred of them.
"Noble Phantasm." Charles whispered as a massive blob of clear translucent Chaos Energy had formed over there heads.
"Stop Charles!" Argent whisper yells at him but Charles grin only grew as it exploded killing about half of them. The other half were mangled with good chunks of them missing.
"What?" Charles asked as the crimson blood came down like rain dying painting the dirt in a blood brownish red. The biggest wolf let out a massive howl of pure rage. It clearly had a storm of rage.
"Why?" Argent asked for no answer as Charles walked forward. The wolf with the scared face was growling looking at Charles. A single glowing yellow eye was looking at him.
"I'm gonna call it One eye." Charles said bloodlust was merged with pure madness. One eye did not look happy at this as it charged. It fangs bared at Charles. Charles shot down Bala at its shoulders. It landed in front of Charles' feet.
"Why?" Argent asked, looking at the bloody den of the former wolves.
"I am sorry it was you guys or us. One eye let me tell you this if I have to kill a thousand people or a million people to make one of my allies smile better believe that the ground will be red." Charles spoke no bloodlust was in his voice; it was a rapid change; it was that of a somber morning. As he pulled the trigger One eye brain was splattered on the ground.
"Hey you took all the fun!" Nikki said he was down right furious with Charles. Nikki looked like he was about to throttle Charles.
"Why? I saved us the trouble." Charles said looking at Nikki she was shocked at the empty look in Charles eyes. As we walked into the cave that One eye was guarding.
"You would kill a thousand people to have one smile?" Argent question. Charles slowly nodded.
"That's just the kind of person he is. I saw him help other servants around the Pendragon manor doing the most dangerous jobs like feeding Cerberus." Pluto said as all of them looked shocked as they all slowly looked at Charles minus Charles and Pluto.
"That dog likes no one." Nikki said under his breath. It was a Sebastian guard dog. It likes no one. Minus Sebastian and Charles. We had to get a new vampire every week because it kept eating them.
"Like the legendary beast of the Ninth Nexus Beast who can rival some Greater Dragons." Argent said his eyes were wider than dinner plates.
"I have no words." Arrow said.
"How does the Pendragon have that monster were do they store it?" Ava asked if she looked like she was about to faint.
"In the catacombs below the castle." Pluto said with a small nod.
"You mean the catacombs that are crawling with vampires?" Knuckles asked, looking shocked. Yeah I forgot vampires love to hide in ruins so the catacombs are a favorite place for nobles and non nobles to be as it is one of three entrances to Shadow Grave. As the ground seemed to be shaking. Hearing a white out. I had to cling to him. It felt like my arms were ripped off. Hearing something slammed into a tree. As the white out was done.
"What the hell?" Charles questioned. As we looked around. Seeing a line of trees shattered. The smell of blood was filling the air.
"What happened?" Arrow asked, clearly confused. As they followed the fallen trees.
"Who was this?" Charles asked, looking at the beaten and bleeding body. The person's blood was flowing out like the waterfall.
"What the hell happened to this guy?" Pluto asked his eyes to wander around the area.
"Starlight: Greater Heal." Charles spoke. As the body glowed white. All of the person's wounds closed. It was a male with midnight black hair.
"What should we do with him?" Argent asked, looking at Charles.
"We are taking him back." Charles said with a small smile dancing on his lips. As they started to walk back we saw dead animals impaled by branches on trees. Making a slow drizzle of blood. Dying the white snow into a crimson slush.
"What the hell did this?" Nikki said seeing on every third tree had a corpse. Thud! A corpse fell to the ground. It was a wolf. Argent's eyes were filled with pure beastal rage. Thud! Another corpse fell to the ground. It was raining corpses.
"Finally back." Charles said with a long sigh. As they slowly enter the cave. Putting the unconscious body on the cold floor. As he took off his shirt and made it for a pillow for the unconscious male. He looked almost like Charles but had many markings on his left arm. It was strange. As well as the left chest.
"Who is this?" Gabriel asked, looking at the raven hair boy.
"I have no idea and there should be more than enough food for the week on the ground outside. I am going on a walk." Charles said as he walked past him with a small smile.
