But what Giah said next was the real bombshell.
"The physiological structure of Skrulls is different from that of humans. We can survive under high-intensity nuclear radiation without being affected in any way."
Giah's voice was not loud, but every word was like a knife.
"Gravik once announced his ultimate plan: to let nuclear radiation completely shroud this Planet. To cleanse all the fragile humans and let Earth truly become our New Skrullos."
This time, even President Ellis, who was usually able to keep his cool, could not remain calm, and a fine layer of cold sweat couldn't help but seep from his forehead.
The high-ranking officials present were all smart people. When Giah said the word "radiation," a terrifying answer had already formed in everyone's mind.
"So..." the Director of National Defense asked, trembling slightly, "is this series of crazy acts to seize power not just to control the government, but to obtain the launch codes for all nuclear bombs in the World?!"
"They want to use our own weapons to send us to hell?!"
If this were true, humanity wouldn't even have a chance to resist. Humanity would die out in a nuclear winter. And they would be able to rebuild civilization on the radioactive wasteland!
"No, it's not that simple."
Jessica's voice interrupted the high officials' wild speculations.
"Use your brains. If Gravik just wanted to destroy humanity with nuclear bombs, he wouldn't need to make such a big scene."
"He would only need to target the leaders of those major powers that possess nuclear arsenals. Why go to such trouble to replace politicians from small countries that don't have nuclear strike capabilities?"
"Ms. Jones is right." President Ellis rubbed his temples, "If it's not to carpet-bomb with nuclear weapons, then what is all this for?"
"I don't know." Jessica shrugged, "Perhaps they are afraid of someone's retaliation and dare not go too far. Or perhaps they have suddenly gained some sort of confidence, believing that they can completely trample humanity underfoot without needing to use nuclear weapons at all."
Hearing about the retaliation of "someone," everyone in the conference room fell silent in unison.
In their minds, the invincible, god-like figure draped in the stars and stripes, with eyes shooting destructive light, appeared simultaneously.
Homelander.
But this name now seemed somewhat ethereal.
He had disappeared into deep space for some time now. Even though Vought International kept claiming that he was about to return, they all knew in their hearts that whether that person was still alive remained an unknown.
But today, with the situation collapsing to this extent, they had no choice but to turn their eyes to Vought International.
"Ms. Jones." President Ellis turned his gaze to Jessica, "Since Vought International has already mastered so much intelligence, do you have a feasible response plan? The country needs your power."
"I am not responsible for answering this question."
Jessica did not answer immediately, but turned her head to look outside the door.
"The specific response plan that follows will be explained in detail to you all by the Chief Strategy Officer of the Vought Think Tank, Mr. Daniel."
As her voice fell, the door to the conference hall was pushed open.
A tall and upright young man walked with a composed pace to the front of the conference table.
Jessica looked at this man who called himself Daniel, and the scene from a few days ago couldn't help but surface in her mind.
At that time, Ms. Skynet personally brought this man to her office and introduced him to her as the secret military advisor left behind by Homelander.
Jessica was full of vigilance at first. She knew Anthony too well; how could that arrogant guy leave behind any secret military advisor in the shadows?
But out of trust in Ms. Skynet, and the inexplicable sense of familiarity she instinctively felt when this man approached, she suppressed the urge to throw him directly out the window.
It wasn't until this Daniel casually mentioned a few secrets that only she and Anthony knew that Jessica finally let down her guard.
She believed that this Daniel was carrying out Homelander's will, so she cooperated and came to the White House.
"Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon." Homelander walked to the front of the stage and began his performance.
"I think Giah's intelligence just now has already made everyone fully realize our current situation."
"Since the goals of those green-skinned aliens have basically been achieved, and the vast majority of global regimes have fallen into their hands, they will inevitably have major moves next."
"With the enemy in the dark and us in the light, and the situation not yet clear, we can only choose to wait for them to make the first move at this stage."
Homelander's sharp gaze swept across the room.
"But this does not mean we can only sit and wait for death. There are some things we can not only do in advance, but must do right now."
"Everyone, at this point, simply resolving those impersonated leaders no longer has any meaning."
"There are currently over a million Skrulls lurking on Earth. You kill an impostor today, and tomorrow they can arrange another impostor to take their place."
"What we must consider is how to completely eliminate this million-scale hidden danger."
"Eliminate a million aliens?" the Director of the CIA questioned, "Sir, this isn't antivirus software on a computer! We can't even tell who is human and who is an alien, so how are we going to eliminate them?"
"This is exactly what I am about to talk about."
Homelander raised his hand and tapped lightly in the void, and a holographic projection quickly unfolded in mid-air, forming a 3D model of a humanoid robot.
"A group of moderate Skrulls who recognized reality have already taken the initiative to surrender to Vought International. As a condition of exchange, they voluntarily accepted gene surgery to remove that troublesome camouflage ability."
"The V-Sentinel is not only equipped with the most advanced firepower system, but more importantly, it is equipped with recognition algorithms specifically targeting the Skrull genetic map. No matter how perfectly they disguise themselves, they will have nowhere to hide in front of the V-Sentinel."
"The V-Sentinel can perfectly execute screening, capture, and kill missions."
The politicians in the conference room looked at the 3D model of the half-human, half-mechanical figure on the screen, their eyes filled with both shock and a trace of instinctive fear.
"Because the target base is as high as one million, to ensure that the cleanup operation can be completed in a very short time, and not give them a chance to jump over the wall like a cornered dog."
Homelander's murderous voice echoed in the conference hall.
"The number of V-Sentinels we need to produce is also in the millions. We will release all V-Sentinels and execute this purge at the same time."
The entire conference room was silent. A million-level army of combat robots? This sounded like a doomsday battle in a science fiction movie.
"One million units?!"
An exclamation exploded in the conference room.
The Secretary of the Treasury stood up from his chair excitedly and shouted.
"Mr. Daniel, do you have some misunderstanding about numbers?! Do you think this is producing household robot vacuums?!"
