Chapter 397 - Goodbye, Rotten Kingdom

Inside the treasury of the Victoriaz Kingdom, Arvin, who had just finished interacting with his cloned body via telepathy, now refocused his attention on the reality around him.

He stood tall, staring intently at the sprawling mountains of treasure within the room. A faint smirk, laden with malicious intent, etched itself onto his lips. He began to imagine the magnificent chaos that would erupt throughout the Victoriaz Kingdom the moment they realized their royal treasury had vanished without a trace overnight.

Blame your own greed for intending to invade my territory. Arvin thought without a shred of pity.

Arvin raised both hands forward and began sweeping all the treasure in the room into his dimensional storage space.

Like a ravenous black hole, all the riches were relentlessly sucked into his dimensional space.

Little by little, the mountains of treasure began to shrink. The clinking of colliding gold echoed throughout the room as it slowly emptied. Exactly seven minutes later, the treasury that had once been overflowing with opulence had transformed into a cold, empty, and dusty room. The towering fortunes that previously served as the wealth of the Victoriaz Kingdom were now completely gone.

However, his gaze accidentally fell upon a door located right in the farthest corner of the room.

What kind of door is that? Is there something even more valuable intentionally hidden in there?

Driven by intense curiosity, Arvin stepped across the floor, now swept clean of treasure, and approached the mysterious door.

He reached for the handle.

Click!

The door was locked.

Arvin bent down, leaning his face closer as he tried to peek through the keyhole to see what was stored inside. Yet, all he could see was pitch-black darkness.

Not losing his wits, Arvin activated light element magic at the tip of his index finger. He aimed and fired the light magic through the keyhole, letting it illuminate the darkness behind the door.

Shing...

The glow of the light magic instantly banished the thick darkness within.

Through that tiny keyhole, Arvin could pinpoint the spatial coordinates inside the room.

Wasting no time, Arvin immediately activated a gate magic leading directly behind the locked door and casually stepped through it.

Inside the room, now fully illuminated by his light magic, Arvin stood frozen. He was quite surprised by what he had just discovered.

Surrounding him were tens of thousands of pieces of military equipment. Ranging from swords, spears, shields, to armor.

Arvin walked closer and picked up a sword from the myriad of weapons nearby. He drew the blade from its scabbard and observed it carefully.

The blade reflected the light perfectly; it was incredibly sharp, with a magic crystal embedded in its hilt.

It turns out, this is a magic sword of exceptional quality. Arvin said to himself as he traced and examined the weapon. With this many high-grade weapons and combat armors... no wonder the Victoriaz Kingdom is so confident about invading the Vedegra territory.

Seeing the tangible threat displayed right before his eyes, Arvin's resolve and desire to destroy the Victoriaz Kingdom from within became increasingly unstoppable.

He immediately spread both his arms and reactivated his dimensional storage magic. What happened next was that every single sword, spear, shield, and high-quality magic armor was sucked into his dimensional space without leaving a single one behind.

Once the room was completely bare, Arvin reactivated his gate magic, setting its coordinates straight to his next destination: the palace library.

The moment he stepped out of the gate and set foot on the library floor, Arvin sensed someone's presence in the room.

Who would still be in here at midnight like this?

Not wanting his infiltration to be discovered by the palace residents, Arvin immediately activated his invisibility magic. His body instantly blended with the air, refracting the light until his presence became completely unseen.

In his invisible form, and driven by a strong sense of curiosity, he stepped very carefully, walking down the aisles of gigantic bookshelves to approach the source of the presence.

Right in the middle of the library, at a long reading table illuminated by a single magic lamp, Arvin found his answer.

There, he saw Lionias fast asleep. His head was simply resting down, using an open magic book as a makeshift pillow.

Arvin walked over to the soundly sleeping prince. He stood right beside him, gazing at Lionias's face from a close distance in silence.

Your face indeed looks handsome and cute. Arvin thought with a cold stare. But it's a shame that your nature and behavior are absolutely disgusting. That good-looking visage of yours is merely a veil covering the rotting pile of trash inside your soul.

Arvin turned his face away, unwilling to waste any more time staring at this pathetic, handsome prince.

With silent footsteps, Arvin left the table where the prince slept. He walked around every row of the giant bookshelves, which housed the kingdom's history, important documents, and magic, while keeping his dimensional storage space active.

One by one, everything neatly arranged on those shelves vanished. Arvin took and stored everything in the library into his dimensional space until not a single book, parchment, or scroll was left, except for one book.

Yes, the only magic book he didn't take was the one Lionias was currently using as a pillow.

Once there was nothing left inside the royal library, Arvin cast one last look at the face of the Victoriaz Kingdom's Third Prince, who was still deeply asleep at the table.

Enjoy the chaos and downfall that will befall this kingdom, Lionias. Arvin said in his mind, delivering a cruel farewell. I hope you're all happy when you reap all the rot you've sown all this time.

Arvin turned around and walked away toward the corner of the library. He once again raised his right hand forward, focused his mana, and activated a gate magic that led straight to the bedroom in the mansion located in the capital of the Astoria Kingdom.

Goodbye, rotten kingdom. Arvin said inwardly as he confidently stepped into the gate, leaving behind the kingdom that had now been looted completely dry.

The moment he stepped out of the gate, Arvin, who had just arrived in the bedroom, was immediately greeted by Alrain. From the bed, the green-haired youth stared directly at the gate with eyes full of high alert, ready to launch an attack.

However, the moment he realized the person entering the room was his husband, Alrain instantly dropped his guard.

Unable to hold himself back any longer, and with a relieved, longing smile on his face, Alrain used his wind magic and immediately darted forward, throwing himself toward the person he loved so dearly.

Thud!

Alrain instantly hugged his husband's body incredibly tight as their bodies collided lightly.

Feeling the warm, desperately tight embrace so laden with yearning, Arvin smiled. He returned his second spouse's hug, delivering an equally tight embrace in return.

"Welcome back home, My Love." Alrain said in a gentle, affectionate voice, welcoming his husband's return to the house.

"Yes, Alrain, I'm home." Arvin replied in a deeply warm and loving tone, gently stroking his spouse's back.
