Vox listened to the words of the mysterious voice as he read alongside from the black and white panel that hovered before his sight.
'Is that even sensible or might as well say possible?' Vox thought for a while processing every word he read and heard. 'Infinite plain? Earth is being destroyed by a supreme authority?' while in thoughts he filled up the panel.
'Attribute points over two hundred? That's downright absurd.' Vox shook his head in amazement.

The earth began to quake as dozens and dozens of vague shadows emerged from the horizons. Their earth-shattering movement had scared Vox a little but then, "it's just like the games. Let's rock!"
Bulldozing through the wrecked cars, the monsters neared Vox. Not taking any chances, he turned into a blur, dashing into the monster's midst.
PFFT! PFFT! PFFT!
Blood began to spray anywhere his shadows crossed. Even without the augmentation of Instant Skills, Vox became an unseen reaper, confirming his daggers drew souls away from his opponents before he proceeded.
From the hundreds of monsters that charged to eliminate him, he took the lives of twenty-or-so in the first five minutes of the attack. And as he carried on with his emotionless assault, his rankings on the Players Leaderboard soared to the peak like a jet in lightspeed mode. From his unranked position, Vox rose to first position with two hundred and sixty points and rising (26 monsters * 10points per monster).
Blitzing in and out of the supposed entrapments, he pressed on with his killing spree achievement against the monsters.
In less than forty minutes, Soulless had devoured the souls of a hundred plus monsters.

"Proceed." If one listened carefully, they would sense the tone of excitement in Vox's voice.

From the four corners of the city did the monsters pour out. The current monsters looked bulkier and possessed menacing looks.
With his twin daggers still soaked from the blood of the first wave monsters, Vox held them lightly and firm, his body stance alert and relaxed.
Charging into his imagined five-meter circle, he shot his right hand out… "Use Dash! Use Burst!"

His figure pierced the monsters in the south wings like a spear-tipped missile. No pause, no hesitation, Soulless unalived seven monsters in the blink of an eye. Without stopping to take a deep breath, he attacked the nearest monster, beheading it before it could raise its defense. With another step, another monster was beheaded. Every step or two he took meant the death of another monster. Twenty minutes later, the thirty-seven monsters from the south cardinal point were completely wiped away from the battlefield.
The remaining surviving monsters that tried to cover up that gap in their formation also met an extremely quick end. From his head to his toe, he was clothed with the blood of various monsters. His daggers seemed to glint in a dangerous way with the blood of deceased monsters as its new coating.
"Huff!" Exhaling from his mouth, Vox glared dangerously at the monsters that were converging against him. Slowly but with predatory instincts, the monsters appeared more fierce than before. "Woe to those that war me, for death be their heaven!" Vox muttered with his left hand pointed at his opponents.

Like lightning, Soulless harvested another bountiful amount of souls. Like a black blur, he slashed and cut like the grim reaper himself. In the blink of any eye or twenty minutes later, a total of one hundred and forty eight monsters were killed.
"Where are the remaining two?"
SCRREEEEE! SCRREEEEE!
Above were two bird monsters circling round his position. Their eyes were locked on him, waiting for the perfect time to strike. Their predatory gaze locked with Vox's bloodthirsty look. No one, neither man nor monster let their guards down.
'This is going to take forever,' He thought as his eyeballs were entrenched against the bird monsters. 'Baiting them is the only option then.'
Attempting a fake jump, one of the bird monsters swooped down with an extremely fast speed that could rival SR-71 Blackbird in terms of diving. 'Gotcha.' Smirking evilly, Vox repositioned himself and hurled one of his daggers at the fast diving bird.
With the enhancement of Dash and Burst, the dagger zipped through the air like scissors cutting through dry fabrics. Both bird and weapon, parallel to each other, faced each other at breakneck speed.
SWISH!
Too late to pilot itself away from the danger, the first bird monster rammed into the dagger headon, in the process, splitting the bird into two. And as if he shouldn't have smirked too early, the other bird monster, from an insane angle, had it beak dangerously stretched out. 'Oh shit!'
No body reflex could save him this time as the bird was a few meters away from him.
"Use Dome!" Without a single millisecond delay rose the blue barrier.
