Chapter 144 - Chapter 144: Taking Enel Away

Chapter 144: Taking Enel Away

Half an hour later.

The land of Birka below had already been reduced to ruins. Everything in sight was shattered and devastated, with patches of blood splattered across the ground.

At the center of the wreckage, Enel had returned to human form, but he was lying on the ground with his eyes closed.

Tap!

Jiang Qize landed in front of him.

"The same beginning… but a different ending."

He murmured softly, then lifted Enel into his arms.

Even though Enel's body carried a strong odor, he didn't care.

He tapped the ground with his toes, and his body rose lightly into the air.

"Let's go."

Landing on the Wind God's back, Jiang Qize spoke a single word.

"Kyah~"

With a sharp cry, the Dinosaur spread its enormous wings, beat them once with force, and shot upward into the sky, disappearing into the clouds.

...

The Blue Sea.

Over the vast ocean.

A massive, dark-aqua giant sat on a patch of gray-golden terrain bristling with sharp spikes, drifting slowly across the water.

Standing next to the giant were two bronze-skinned men wearing clothing made of tree bark, their muscles bulging like coiled dragons.

Compared to the giant, the two of them were no bigger than ants.

Beside them floated a small metal boat three meters long and one meter wide.

"Brother Raptorex, when do you think we'll finally run into someone?"

The tattooed Berserker wyper stared out at the endless ocean, mumbling in boredom.

It had already been a week since they descended from the sky island. Their excitement had turned to enthusiasm, then calm, and finally pure boredom.

Out here, it felt like they'd lived through several seasons.

They hadn't brought much food with them, nor any liquor—so all they could do on this vast ocean was eat fish and seafood.

Thankfully, they had Fire Shells with them, so at least they didn't have to eat anything raw.

"Should be soon… Who knows which direction Old Cang went."

Raptorex rumbled in reply.

Rumble…

Suddenly, the surface beneath them shook violently, making him stumble and almost fall.

"Rooar~" came a bellow from the sea.

Wyper and Kamakiri understood it perfectly. It meant: "Complain again and get in the water yourself."

Yes—the "land" beneath them was actually Canglong's back.

The three-hundred-meter Canglong was like a small floating continent, plenty large enough to carry many people.

Wyper and Kamakiri nearly burst out laughing but forced themselves to hold it in, their faces turning red. They'd watched these two senior beasts argue more than once—and Raptorex was usually the one on the losing end.

After all, he was the one who needed Canglong to travel, so he couldn't do much about it.

This was the most entertaining part of their journey, making the ocean trip not entirely dull.

And no matter what they asked Raptorex, he never got angry. He would always talk to them in that slow, steady tone.

"It's true though… can't even point it out," Raptorex muttered under his breath.

"Rooar~!"

Another violent shake rolled through, even stronger this time.

"Brother, maybe say a little less…" Wyper urged quickly.

"Wyper, look—what is that…"

Kamakiri suddenly tugged his arm, pointing ahead.

Wyper followed his gaze—and there, looming through distant mist, was a massive dark silhouette. It looked like… a ship.

"Don't tell me that's one of those pirate ships the captain talked about?" Wyper's face lit up with excitement.

"It's possible. We finally ran into someone." Kamakiri grinned broadly.

After so long, they were finally about to meet other people—he was thrilled.

Raptorex glanced at it once but stayed silent. He didn't want to crush their rare moment of enthusiasm.

But Canglong had no such restraint.

"Rooar~"

The sea echoed with his voice.
