Chapter 147: Millennium Dragon
"Rooaar~"
As evening settled in, a dragon's cry echoed across the sky.
Wyper and Kamakiri stood up, looking upward.
On the ground lay a massive set of bones and a pile of burning firewood.
"Is that the Millennium Dragon?"
Wyper stared at the distant sky, where a dragon with a blue back, white belly, a pair of blue wings, and no horns was flying toward Warship Island.
But it wasn't heading toward them—it was flying toward a tall mountain beside them.
"It looks more like a bird."
Raptorex spoke up, his wide eyes fixed on the Millennium Dragon as he rumbled.
"It does look a bit like a bird." Wyper nodded.
"Big Brother Raptorex, should we go now?"
Kamakiri looked up and asked.
"Let's go."
Raptorex slowly rose to his feet. His enormous body made the ground tremble softly, sand sliding off his legs with each movement.
Boom, boom, boom…
They headed toward Warship Peak.
Even though night had fallen, Wyper and the others carried light shells that emitted beams of light—quite a curious sight.
But with Raptorex's vision, he didn't need light at all. He could see in the dark, and with powerful observation haki, the darkness meant nothing to him.
It didn't take long before they reached Warship Peak.
"Rooaar~"
The Millennium Dragon, already back in its nest, felt the tremors and let out another roar. It crawled out and looked toward the source of the disturbance.
When it saw who had arrived, panic flickered in its eyes. It felt danger approaching.
"Rooaar~"
The Millennium Dragon bellowed, climbed out of the nest, flapped its wings, and took off.
Boom!!
Suddenly, a thunderous blast rang out.
A transparent wind shot blasted toward it, striking the Millennium Dragon head-on.
Boom!!
A shockwave rippled outward.
"Rooaar~"
The Millennium Dragon wailed as its huge body plummeted toward the mountain.
Boom, boom, boom…
Raptorex sprinted below with incredible speed, instantly catching up to the falling dragon. He reached out and grabbed it with one massive hand.
"So strong…"
Halfway up the mountain, Wyper rested his cannon on his shoulder, eyes wide in amazement.
This cannon had been modified by Senior Ba wang. It could load various sky shells and fire different types of blasts.
Wind Shells could fire wind shots—low power, but very fast.
Flame Shells could fire fire rounds, Flash Shells could fire flash bombs, Laser Shells could shoot laser beams, and there were Knock-Up and Impact Shells as well—too many to count.
Since coming down to the Blue Sea, they hadn't used these weapons in combat, so they weren't sure how strong they actually were.
Because the captain wanted the target alive, Wyper had chosen to fire a wind shot.
"Rooaar~"
The Millennium Dragon struggled in Raptorex's grasp, roaring angrily.
But compared to the hundred-meter giant that was Raptorex, the twenty-plus-meter Millennium Dragon was nothing more than a snake.
Expressionless, Raptorex pulled the struggling creature closer and tapped its head with his other hand.
The Millennium Dragon passed out instantly, its body going limp.
"Go search its nest."
He spoke to Wyper and the others.
"Yes, Big Brother Raptorex."
The two of them continued climbing the mountain.
Raptorex, meanwhile, walked toward the sea.
"Old cang how is it?" he rumbled at the water.
Rumble rumble…
The seawater rose.
The mosasaurus surfaced, holding three one-meter-long gray, oval eggs in its mouth.
"Rooar~ (I found these three eggs down there. They're still alive.)"
"These should be what Master wants… now we just need that old Wind guy to come down here."
Raptorex lifted the giant eggs onto the shore, muttering to himself.
