Chapter 148: The Navy Arrives

Night fell, and the moon hung high in the sky.

Wyper and Kamakiri returned to Raptorex's side.

"Big Brother Raptorex, the dragon's nest only had these two things. They should be worth a lot, right?"

In their hands were two gold-colored stones—gold ore.

  "Worth a little. Keep them."

Raptorex rumbled as he looked at the two nuggets of "gold sand."

  "Oh right, contact the captain."

  "Oh, okay!"

Wyper immediately called Jiang Qize again.

Jiang Qize told them to wait there for Wind God to arrive before ending the call.

  …

  The next morning.

On the beach of Warship Island, Raptorex lay sprawled out, taking up a huge stretch of sand. Under his right hand he was pinning down the Millennium Dragon, and beside it were three eggs.

  "Mm~"

At daybreak, Wyper woke up on a tree branch.

  Plop!

He jumped down and walked toward the shore, looking out at the sea.

  Suddenly, he froze.

His eyes locked onto the direction to his right.

A massive navy warship was slowly approaching across the water.

  Hnn!

Raptorex also opened his eyes at that moment, slowly lifting his head to look toward the warship.

"Leave it to you. Just a few weak marines. Capture a few of the stronger ones alive."

Raptorex lay back down again, completely unconcerned—as if what was coming wasn't a warship at all.

"Leave it to us. Watch how strong we are."

Wyper's battle lust ignited, a blazing light flashing in his eyes.

The two of them immediately charged toward the warship.

Skimming across the sea, the two used their Sky Island gear—Waver Shoes—to glide as if surfing.

These shoes were fitted with Wind Shells and Jet Shells, allowing them to glide and leap anywhere, and at a good speed too.

Like two streaks of white foam, they quickly closed in on the navy.

On the navy warship a kilometer away—

At the bow stood a marine wearing Rear Admiral attire, justice cloak billowing behind him. He had a square face, thick mustache, strong brows, and sharp eyes as he watched the ocean.

Then he spotted two figures moving across the water toward them.

The fog was thick, so he couldn't see clearly yet.

But he didn't worry. He was a marine rear admiral—division-level or not, his strength wasn't low.

And this was the East Blue. There were no pirates here worth fearing.

  "Rear Admiral Reyes…"

  His adjutant walked over.

Reyes motioned him aside, staring calmly at the two figures that had now entered a fifty-meter range. He could see their faces clearly.

  "They're not pirates…"

  The adjutant frowned.

"But they want to be pirates." Reyes said flatly as he drew the blade at his waist.

After so many years in the marines, he had developed instincts. Those two below were still approaching—and they carried strange weapons. He was already certain.

When it came to pirates, his stance was simple: kill.

He belonged to the hawk faction.

The adjutant lowered his head without arguing, though his eyes held pity for the two "unlucky fools" below.

  Clang!!

A flash of silver streaked through the air.

A several-meter-long flying slash burst from Reyes's blade, tearing through the air toward Wyper and Kamakiri.

  "Let me handle this!"

Kamakiri's face lit with excitement. In his hand was also a sword—

but his was a burning sword.

  Hummm…

A flaming blade over a meter long glowed as it touched the sea, sending wisps of steam rising from the water it passed over.

  Boom!

He stepped once on the water, leaping into the air, and swung his sword.
