Chapter 151: Injured
"You're having a great time, aren't you?"
Kamakiri the mantis had already rushed onto the warship. After kicking down a Marine, he turned back to look at Wyper below, his face full of grievance.
"Ahem… not bad. I'll finish this soon."
Wyper looked at him, flashing an awkward grin full of white teeth.
Clang!
The moment he got distracted, two ten-meter slashes filled with killing intent tore through the air toward him, sealing off every path of retreat.
Wyper's expression tightened. With no time to dodge, he instinctively fired two shots.
Boom! Boom!!
The two wind bullets collided with the incoming slashes. The bullets were cut apart, but the slashes weakened slightly.
"Raaagh—!"
Wyper roared. His body transformed rapidly, turning into a massive ankylosaur three meters tall.
Psssh, psssh…
The two slashes landed on his body, and blood burst out.
Across Wyper's armored back were two horizontal blade marks, hot blood streaming like a spring.
"Tch, that almost went bad!"
Wyper's cold voice rumbled out. The wounds on his back were slowly starting to heal.
Kamakiri glanced at him, then sent a flaming slash toward Rear Admiral Reyes in midair. It was only two meters long—much weaker than Reyes's attacks.
Reyes had just started to relax when a wave of heat and danger hit him.
Without thinking, he dodged to the side.

Reyes's face twisted sharply. The flaming slash grazed his arm, instantly charring it. A burnt smell rose from the wound.
His arm throbbed with searing pain, making it hard to even hold his sword. His body dropped toward the water.

Half the warship had already sunk. Kamakiri had cut down every Marine on board. He jumped into the sea, grabbed Wyper—who was floating on the water—and pulled him up.
"Tch, still having fun?" Kamakiri asked, grinning mockingly.
The two deep wounds on Wyper's back had stopped bleeding, but the torn flesh was still visible—frightening to look at.
"Not anymore…" Wyper scratched his cheek awkwardly.
He really had messed up this time. If not for his Ankylosaurus Fruit giving him immense durability and defense, those two slashes might've sliced him into three pieces.
"All right, let's wrap it up. We'll need Elder Canglong to help fish out your gear later."
Kamakiri rolled his eyes.
The equipment Wyper had been wearing had all fallen into the sea the moment he transformed.
"Let's capture them first. Otherwise they'll all die soon."
Wyper shrugged.
"Raaagh—!"
A roar rose from beneath the sea.
A surge of water lifted them upward.
Their bodies shook violently from the sudden movement, almost knocking them over.
But they didn't panic. That roar told them exactly who it was.
Canglong's massive body slowly emerged from the water. Streams of seawater cascaded down its gray-gold, rugged back like a waterfall, roaring as it fell.
Both of them landed on Canglong's back.
Rear Admiral Reyes was lifted up as well.
Seeing the enormous creature beneath him—and the overwhelming aura of death pouring off it—Reyes's face changed drastically.
He had seen Sea Kings before, but never one whose very presence made his heart freeze. This was a first.
"No need to ask—we've already got your gear." Kamakiri smirked as he looked at the Sky-Leaping Boots and the launcher resting beside him.
"Thanks, Brother Canglong." Wyper put his equipment back on, speaking respectfully to the creature beneath them.
In their hearts, Canglong and the elder Raptorex were always mighty seniors. But because of the elder's instructions, they sometimes addressed them as "big brother" as well.
