Chapter 152: Capture
Soon, all the Marines were captured. Some died from their severe injuries, but most were still alive—more than thirty in total.
On the beach of Battleship Island—
"So this is the Navy, huh? Their strength is pretty average."
Wyper leaned against a large rock, looking at the bound Rear Admiral Reyes beside him, grinning as he spoke.
Reyes remained expressionless, his voice cold. "Justice does not tolerate provocation. You will all be thrown into Impel Down sooner or later."
But the massive creature in the sea, along with the towering giant beside him, made his heart shake. He couldn't believe these two brats had helpers this powerful.
And they weren't even killing him.
Normally, when pirates encounter the Navy, either the pirates are captured or killed, or the pirates kill every Marine. They never leave survivors.
It had always been this way.
After all, being captured by pirates was a humiliation for people like them.
"Hahaha! I'd like to see that prison of yours someday, but getting caught… that's probably impossible."
Wyper laughed loudly, brimming with arrogance.
"Why waste breath on him?" Kamakiri scoffed.
"I'm bored. Besides, no idea when Elder Wind God will get here."
"We don't even know where we are. It might be tough for Elder Wind God to find us."
"Yeah, probably two days."
Just then, a sharp cry came from the sky.
"Yaa—!"
They all looked up, even Rear Admiral Reyes.
A dark shape in the sky expanded rapidly, growing larger and larger until it blotted out the sun.
Reyes and the Marines stared at the colossal silhouette above them, eyes shrinking in disbelief.
"Elder Wind God is already here? That fast?!"
Wyper was stunned.
It hadn't even been a full day—how could he have found them so quickly?
Whmmm… whmmm…
A fierce wind whipped up around them, sand slapping against their faces, forcing them to squint.
Boom!
The ground shook beneath them as a wave of air spread out. A terrifying aura rolled over them like a tidal wave.
They slowly opened their eyes.
A massive black shadow—nearly as large as the Raptorex elder—loomed over them, cutting off the sunlight.
As Reyes gradually made out the figure, his breath caught in his throat.
His mind reeled with shock. It was a Wind God—a Wind God of that size?
But then he recalled a bounty poster Marine HQ had issued recently—one that listed a certain pirate crew.
"No way…" His pupils constricted violently.
"No… impossible. Even Vice Admiral Sakazuki doesn't have an aura like this."
He frantically denied his own suspicion. If it were true, the world would plunge into chaos.
Wyper and Kamakiri, however, were ecstatic.
"Big Brother Wind God, how'd you get here so fast?"
"We drifted at sea for seven whole days before reaching this place!"
They raised their heads high, calling out to the Wind God.
"Yaa (The captain gave me the direction, so I found you.)"
The wyvern answered.
"Ah… the captain can even tell directions? That's amazing!"
"Mhm! The captain really does know everything."
They marveled endlessly.
Jiang Qize knew only the general direction—just that Battleship Island was somewhere in the East Blue, since in the story Luffy and the others hadn't yet reached the Grand Line.
With its innate navigation sense and incredible vision, the Wind God had naturally located them with ease.
