Chapter 15 - 15: On the way to Hage village.

"Mr. Yami," Wendy's voice sounds melodious and cheerful.

"What do you want, brat?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to say your name."

"Don't call me if you don't have a reason," Yami's voice is slightly irritated.

"Okay," my voice remains cheerful.

We both walk along a dirt road surrounded by forests.

The reason is, Yami doesn't use magic brooms, and he doesn't have any transportation spells.

Besides, although Hage Village is almost on the kingdom's border, a normal person can reach it by running in 5 days.

But Yami and I use mana skin to increase our stamina and reduce air resistance to go faster.

"Mr. Yami," my mischievous voice sounds again.

"And now what, brat?" Yami's irritated voice reached my ears again.

"I think you, Mr. Yami, will become a captain someday. Do you think it would be okay if I joined your magic knights order in the future?" I say with a cheerful voice.

"That will be for the future. I don't even know if I can become a magic knights captain."

I understand, everyone discriminates against him for being a foreigner, and sometimes they even steal his credit.

"I believe in my intuition, Mr. Yami," I say firmly.

"Heh," Yami just laughed.

I didn't continue talking to Yami; at this time, Yami is a little depressed.

2 days later.

We're only about half a day away from Hage Village.

"Mr. Yami, we're almost there."

"Do you think we might encounter bandits?"

"Why do you want to encounter bandits?" Yami asks.

"To steal their treasures, of course."

"I'm an orphan, I live in a church, and I'm poor," I say pitifully with comical tears on my cheeks.

Yami just looks at me with a drop of sweat running down his cheek.

And so we continued walking along the small dirt road.

Suddenly, some bandits appeared out of nowhere. "Drop everything of value before..."

"What luck!" I said before they could finish speaking.

Without hesitation, I used Shunpo to get closer to the bandits.

Without hesitation, I used magic.

"[Sky Dragon's Fang]" with the wind swirling around my fists.

With a single attack, I sent the more than 7 bandits who had appeared out of nowhere flying.

The bandits flew through the air with multiple cuts all over their bodies.

When they fell to the ground, blood splattered everywhere.

"Oops! I think I overdid it," I said as I looked at the blood on the ground.

"The last bandits were stronger."

"Oh no. They're dying."

"If they die, I won't know where their treasure is, I mean, their accomplices," I said as I used healing magic to heal them.

"I didn't know you could use healing magic without a grimoire," Yami said, a little curious.

"It's the first time I've seen someone perform healing magic without a grimoire."

While I was treating the poor wretches, I replied to Yami.

"Well, the truth is, I've been able to do this kind of healing magic since I was a child."

"It's like I have these spells ingrained in my mind as if they were an instinct," I said sincerely.

"Although the one I like to use the most is the [Troia] spell, which is to prevent motion sickness."

"You get motion sickness easily, you don't deserve it with all the jumping you do," Yami said in an indifferent voice.

"I only get a little motion sickness on anything that can be called a means of transportation," I lied a little.

The truth is, I feel like I'm dying whenever I use any form of transportation.

I still remember when Father Orsi took me for a ride in the sky on his magic broom.

I couldn't stand it and I threw up on him.

What did you expect? I had just finished eating and I threw up.

After about 10 minutes, the bandits were no longer in danger of dying from their wounds. Although they're still quite beaten up.

"Hey, wake up," I say to the bandits.

A few seconds later, the bandits woke up.

'Huh? Who am I, where am I, what am I doing?' all the bandits thought upon waking up.

"Hello," my cheerful voice sounds very bright.

But to the bandits, it sounded like a death sentence.

"If you tell me where your base is, we'll just send you to prison," my smile is quite cheerful.

But a dark red aura emanates from my back.

Giving me a rather terrifying presence.

All the bandits stood up straight.

"Yes, ma'am," they said respectfully.

Two hours later.

I'm carrying a large bag twice my size made of cloth, full of money, on my back.

As for the jewels and paintings...

Those are just unnecessary and meaningless luxuries.

"Lord Yami, I've become rich," I say in a cheerful tone.

"Most of those coins are copper, and there are very few gold ones."

"It's not even six months' salary for a normal magic knight," Yami's voice remains indifferent.

"Tsk, what a spoilsport," I complain slightly.

The excitement of meeting Captain Yami has diminished considerably.

Since I met him, I've been acting a little out of character.

My enthusiasm is much greater than usual.

I even acted unconventionally.

But that excitement has diminished considerably lately.

Maybe I'll invite him to stop by the church later.

I guess Father Orsi and Sister Lily won't mind a foreigner coming to the church.

Sister Lily is the person who cares most about equality among all people.

I sigh. "Haa, it looks like the weather will be clear for quite some time."

And so, a few hours later, we arrived at Hage Village.

"I'm back in the village," I say calmly.

"Mr. Yami, do you want to go to the church with me?"

"No need, my mission is already finished," Yami says as he turns around.

"I hope we meet again in the future, Mr. Yami!" I shout as I wave at Yami's back.

Yami just waves without looking back.

"Oh well, I guess he's very dedicated to his work."

"Well, at least I tried."

Instead of walking through Hage Village, I take the forest path.

There are bad people everywhere.

And Hage Village is no different.

It's better to be safe than sorry.

A very wise saying.

A few minutes later I see the church.

After walking for a few more minutes, I arrive at the church.

Looking at the church, which hasn't changed at all since I left.

"Haa, I guess Father Orsi didn't waste money on remodeling the church."

"I hope the father bought some beds."

I glance at the sun and see that it's around 1:15 p.m.

Everyone in the church is probably eating.

I walk towards the back of the church.

Without hesitation, I kick open the door.

"I'm back!" I shout loudly and cheerfully.

Everyone fell silent for 3 seconds.

"AHHHH, Sister Lily, Wendy is back!" Asta's voice was even louder than mine.

It seems I really am back, this is the smell of home.

With a smile, I enter the church.
