Season 2 - Chapter 1: Shadows of the Past and "King of Chickens"
Sixteen years have passed since the universal war in which Volt changed all the laws of existence. The world is now at deep peace, but in Volt's wooden house, a new war has broken out that has nothing to do with the gods.
Volt and the "monstrous" chicken
It is an early morning in the village of peace. Anos (with his raw black hair and bright green eyes) watched from his bedroom window at a scene that repeats itself every morning. His father, Volt, dressed in a disfigured farmer's dress, is hunting a red-headed chicken in the yard.
Volt: "Stop! You brainless! I just want one egg for breakfast, Anos!"
The chicken went to Volt's head in one leap and began to beak him. Volt shouted, "Oh! Vanessa! Help me! This chicken is using martial tactics!"
Volt got his leg trapped in a bucket of water while running and fell across the realm, his whole face turned to dust and chicken feathers.
Anos sighed in frustration from above, "Is this really the warrior they're talking about? He can't hunt a chicken, yet he says he's protected the whole universe!"
Breakfast and facing the truth
After half an hour of struggle, Volt came in with a distorted face and put an egg on the table. Vanessa was pouring tea with a smile. Anos' sister Alyssa sat silently, like an angel with nothing going on around her.
Anos: "Dad... I want to ask you something.
"C'mon, boy, what happened?" said Volt, who was taking a chicken feather out of his tea.
Anos: "You who can't hunt a simple chicken and are about to be killed, how can you say I was a warrior and saved this family from danger? Do you really think the universe was saved by you? Or are they just bedtime stories for us?"
Volt stiffened for a second, looked at Vanessa, and then laughed stupidly: "Haha! Boy, warfare isn't just about strength, it's about 'calmness'! That chicken was a test of my calmness! Then... I said I was a simple guard, not a king!"
Anos looked at him suspiciously. He was remembering the day he was 9 years old. An armed man blocked his way in the forest, and Anos felt his body heat up in rage and the ground was about to slap, but Volt appeared there and suppressed all that terrifying energy with just one touch. "My father is hiding something very big," Anos thought to himself.
The trip to the academy
After dinner, it was time to leave. Anos and Alyssa said goodbye. At the door, Akuto (with his black and brown hair and blue eyes) was waiting for them.
Akuto: "Anos! Hurry up! I've heard the girls at the Academy only talk about 'Descendants of Heroes', I want you to know who I am!"
"It appears that your father, like mine, told you of the heroism of the chickens," said Anos.
When they arrived at the New Stars Academy, the scene changed. The academy was a large palace built on top of a mountain. In the yard, two new students stopped them:
Smoker: A proud boy who always smoked. "Oh, wait! These are the descendants of the 'farmers' who say they saved the world? Hahaha!"
Humid: Who played with water and said, "They even smell like homemade tea. What are they doing here?"
Akuto wanted to answer them, but Anos looked at them coldly. At that moment, a teacher named Mortius appeared. A man whose face was as white as death and whose eyes beamed.
When Anos saw Mortis, his heart stopped. Mortis was exactly who Anos dreamed of fighting against his father (Volt). Mortis looked at Anos and smiled coldly.
Mortis: "Glad to see you... the descendants of 'the one' who ruined everything.
Sakuna's secret and Alyssa's silence
Inside Akuto, Sakuna spoke to Sai boredly:
"Sai, look at these children… they think this is a game. But I have planted the roots of my power in Akuto. When the time comes, we will show them all whose descendants we are."
While everyone was talking, Alyssa just took a step. Time stopped for a second. He looked at Mortius and said quietly, "You still have time, Mortius." Time then returned to normal without anyone noticing what had happened, except Anos, who felt a vibration in the air
