CLANG, CLANG. As the green-skinned train pulled into the Capital Railway Station, it finally slowed to a halt. The clanging stopped, and Xu Qiguang breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
There were just the three of them traveling together on this trip. Director Liu, perhaps because of his age, wasn't in the best of health. He'd been fine before boarding, but last night, he had suddenly developed a high fever in the middle of the night.
After much trouble, they managed to get some fever-reducing medicine from a train attendant. His temperature dropped after he took it, but it spiked again around three or four in the morning. The fever came and went twice, and it was nearly noon before it finally stabilized.
Because of this, no matter how many times the man insisted he was fine, he still looked completely drained. They wouldn't be able to rest easy until he went to a hospital for a check-up.
