Sister-in-law?
Aurora Sterling froze. Sylvia Vaughn's use of the title 'sister-in-law' had her head spinning. It took a moment for her to recall that in her earlier panic, she had blurted out that she was Sylvia's sister-in-law.
However, she had only said it at the time to show she was close to Sylvia. She hadn't given it much thought and certainly didn't expect Sylvia to start calling her that. After all, she was currently just Damien Valerius's fiancée; they weren't actually married yet.
Besides, she was only twenty years old, and Sylvia was her classmate. Hearing Sylvia call her 'sister-in-law' just felt strange to Aurora.
But Sylvia said it so naturally, and she looked so pitiful as she clung to Aurora, refusing to let go.
Aurora gestured with her phone. "That's your brother calling. I'm just going to take it outside. I'll be right back."
