Aiden Shaw pinched the bridge of his nose. "Got it."
After hanging up, Aiden Shaw lay on the sofa to rest for a moment before sitting down at his desk to organize his case files.
By the time he finished his work, the sky had already started to darken. He took off his white lab coat, changed into his own clothes, and went to Laura Lowell's hospital room.
"Dr. Shaw, what are you doing here?"
Laura Lowell was lying in her hospital bed watching TV. When she saw Aiden Shaw walk in, she quickly sat up straight.
Watching the girl who had straightened up in an instant, a brilliant smile touched his lips. "Your mother-in-law wants me to bring you home for dinner."
'He's... he's really getting into character, isn't he?'
Laura Lowell bit her lip awkwardly, her voice as clear as water when she spoke. "Dr. Shaw, we don't really have to pretend when no one's around... Going to your house for dinner feels a bit too presumptuous."
