A thousand years ago aliens invaded the earth and due to the radiation emitted by their machinery and weapons half of the human population died , from eight billion to four billion but surprisingly due to their radiations magical super powers were introduced to the Earth .
Nobody knows what the aliens did but they left shortly leaving the earth with super powers , as time passed population grew more and remaining human do what humans do best adapt .
People started using these powers and they became common a part of daily life, everybody could use these powers and as they adapted , human started naming terms for these power , they made new systems, education changed and overall everything changed plants grew more , forest became dense new animals started appearing, humans studied these powers and found a lot about them.
Mana the internal energy present in the body becomes the base for these powers , there were types of super powers like elemental powers , summoning, body enhancing powers , intelligence enhancing etc but mainly the powers got divided into three types Attack , Defense and Neutral.
Attacking powers like weapons mastery and control , Defense powers like summoning, healing etc and Neutral powers were those that could do both .
As the population halved , a lot of things changed geographically too many countries merged and changed names , the Asian continent merged with Australia and changed its name to Velmora . Middle East , Europe and Africa also merged with a new name Solara , and North America and South America after merging changed names to Luminia.
To make the power use easy, a lot of technology developed specially in this area to help heroes(people who use powers for the good and protect societies and help catch criminals) .
Also due to the nature of these powers weapon that were not made in the era like swords, shields , bow and arrow , spear , blades and many more started to be made, once humans found that many powers were directly related to these weapons.
To help society function a system of hierarchy and balance was created , at the age of fourteen every person will go through a power awakening ceremony and get their main power which will have a special connection to their hearts .
Yes as humans evolved heart became the new part of human body where mana used to reside , the first power a human gets will have a special place in the heart. "_"

In the country of Velmora in one of the most prestigious academic institutions called "SEED" , the class of 10A was lined up in the back garden for their power awakening. The garden was surrounded by beautiful flowers and two blue fountains in the middle , mostly teachers and students used it to relax and for the peace it provided but today among the twenty four students of class 10A nobody was calm.
How could they be calm as these powers decided their future , of course as technology grew you could always buy powers and the advancement in medical science helped individuals with no ability to get atleast one.
Suddenly the garden door opened and the Principal of SEED Aric entered , he was man in his twenties with jet black hair and crimson eyes , his shoulders were broad and his height was atleast six feet , what made him different from other teachers or officials in the academy were two things first his nature, Principal Aric carried a very chill aura , he talked to everyone with kindness and always made jokes , even most teachers in the academy were ten times more serious and stricter then him.
The second thing that made him different was his powers , that man had millions or billions of abilities, powers. People always wondered why didn't he became a hero and always compared him to "Siddhartha" the number one hero of Velmora.
After seeing the Principal enter all the students had their mood lighten a bit , after all he Principal Aric always helped students.
"What's up my little bears , ready for getting your first ability" Principal Aric asked
Yes sir , yes sir , Śí director , yes sirrrr all the excited students replied
"Do not worry guys you can always buy powers even if you don't get any or get any you do not like , in fact the academy provides it for free so take no stress and let us get started" Principal Aric said
"Will you be the one examining our powers sir" One students asked
"Si mi alumno " Principal Aric replied
The power awakening ceremony was very easy due to all the advancement in technology , it was done with the help of a special machine called Skill spire, you just had to put both of your hands on the scanner of the machine and it will tell you everything about your power it's name , how to use it , what type it is etc .
Principal Aric went to the machine which was in a corner of the garden he connected the computer with the machine as everyone looked at him curiously,
the skill spire was a big machine almost 170 cm , the outside part pointing to our side had a tilted black screen where all the students had to put their hand , the outside was mostly black with some white stripes at the edges and the inside part had a big blue screen with some buttons below the screen .
After taking his time setting up the Skill Spire machine , Principal Aric took a chair behind the computer and sat comfortably , then he pressed some buttons and suddenly a weird rummimg sound filled the garden , the sound disappeared shortly but the black screen outside the machine now had a red light in a corner while two glowing white hands outlines were displayed on it to guide them where they should put their hands .
"Let's start now , shall we "
"Let's go by your roll numbers one by one , remember each other powers it will be helpful for the future "
Principal Aric said after setting up everything and sitting on the chair,
As the student saw the machine turning on and everything getting ready their heartbeat surged, some students even started sweating in a garden with cool air present the environment became really quiet, only the gentle sound of the water fountains could be heard .
"Roll number one come forward who is roll number one " Principal Aric said shattering the silence .
After hearing his roll number Adrian Senn who was first in the line went towards the machine, Adrian was a smart guy , he had yellow hair and brown eyes , overall Adiran had a lean physique and was one of the taller one's in his class.
Adrian moved forward and stood in front of the machine ,
"Adrian put your hands on the screen " Principal Aric instructed
As instructed he put his hands on the screen where the two glowing white hands were outlined and as he did the white hands that were outlined , adjusted to the size of Adrian's hands .
Adrian felt a warm funny sensation on his hands and suddenly a blue line passed from the front to the back of his hands , after staying the same position for one whole minute Principal Aric said "Okay done put your hands down" .
Adrian put his hands down and a fearful expression was formed on his face,
"Now should we see what's your power gonna be"
Principal Aric said with a wide grin on his face ,
"Ahm.....ahm.. so my cute little baby number one your power is... I don't know"
0_0 everyone present just looked at the Principal with fearful and angry expression but all the students were speechless as what to say to this
"Don't worry I just don't know your exact power , but the name of your main ability is a ahmmm..... Angel wings" Principal Aric finally said

"Yes so what's here written is BTW I will give you a copy of this document of your own power of course, so what's written is that your power includes flying and attacking etc the potential rank of your ability is S+"
"Also potential rank doesn't mean your ability is already at this S+ level it means that your power can achieve S+ state when its evolved but don't worry its a fact in this world that you can always achieve two or three ranks higher than what's the rank stated here" Principal Aric finally explained
"Sir how many ranks are here in total and what's S+ " A girl asked
"Well there are many ranks starting from E to SSS but these ranks are only for the powers not heroes , to divide these powers efficiently as when someone wants to buy etc and S+ means it can go to Level S or SS or even SSS"
The same girl asked again "Sir does that mean Adiran has a strong ability"
Principal Aric thought for a bit and the replied "Well yes but every ability can grow to some extent to no need to worry but yeah he has a good start"
Hearing this Adrian's fearful expression and vanished and a wide smile that he tired to control replaced it .
"Now roll number two shall we , come forward"
Nadim Casim was roll number two , he was more skinnier than Adrian , he had a little brown complexion with black eyes and short black hair , unlike Adiran Nadim was not so good in studies but still was a intellectual guy.
Nadim came forward put hid hands on the screen , the blue, lines appeared again on top of his hands and after one minute when Principal Aric told him , he put his hands down and excitement and fear both filled him , ready to listen to his power .
