Daniella's POV
"Who's that?" He asked, looking for the person.
"It's grace, your coworker," I replied.
We stayed there for a while till she was done, we came out, paid for what we bought and left the store to go home. We got home and did the set up, already prepared for tomorrow.
"Plesse come early tomorrow," I said to him as he stepped into his car.
He nodded gently and drove off. I went back inside, thinking about how smoothly my life has been going. I couldn't help but smile before I drifted off into a deep sleep.
Sunday came quickly, I started my day by cleaning the house and cooking, preparing to have dinner with my "husband" and The CEO.
Soon, Mr Gary arrived at my house, we set up the table and waited for him to come. The doorbell rang, I straightened my gown and walked to the door.
"Good evening" he said walking in.
My chest tightened as he looked around. His voice sounded calm but there was something about the way he looked around. He looked like he was trying to find a fault in the house.
"Good evening" I replied, leading him to the dining table.
He greeted Mr Gary before sitting. We all sat down and I dished out food on our plates.
"So, when was your wedding?" He asked.
I expected this and gave Mr Gary a note of potential questions and answers. He studied them beforehand and memorized them.
"Our wedding was two months ago," he replied.
"You don't have a wedding picture in the living room, most couples tend to have that." He said, picking up a piece of meat from his plate and eating as slowly as he can.
"Oh, it's yet to arrive, my mother took care of the wedding pictures, it'll be delivered soon" I told him, smiling wildly to hide how tense I was.
"What's your name?" I asked after a while.
"I'm Micheal," he replied. "Micheal Bright"
We ate in silence after that question and he left after a while, after carefully accessing our home.
Mr Gary helped me with the dishes, not long after, we were done.
"Thank you Mr Gary" I said to him.
"You're welcome," he replied. "Oh and can you drop the formalities? You know you can call me Gary? Right?" He asked.
I expected it, but I didn't expect it to be this soon. I looked into his eyes and they were filled with warmth.
"Okay, I'll try," I said.
"Can we go take couple pictures next Saturday?" I asked him after a while of silence.
"Sure". He said.
He left after a while and I went back inside. I looked around and the house felt lonely once more. I walked slowly to my bedroom and my eyes fell on his clothes in the wardrobe. My heart skipped a beat and a wave of sadness washed over me.
"What's this? Why do I suddenly miss him?" I asked myself, holding my chest as if to stop my heart from beating.
I laid on my bed, and as soon as I closed my eyes, my phone rang.
I picked up my phone to see who was calling and I froze. It was him.
