"Kael, I'm here!!"
With his magic restored, Natsu couldn't take it anymore and charged straight in.
"More people are coming!"
The Royal Army soldiers noticed Natsu and immediately barked out a warning.
"Fire Dragon's... Wing Attack!"
Natsu's arms were cloaked in violent flames as he slammed them into the gathered soldiers.
"Aaaaauuugh!!" ...
Scores of Royal Army soldiers were sent flying through the air.
"Iron Dragon Club!!"
Gajeel also charged forward, sweeping his leg into a kick as an iron rod sprouted from his limb, sending another wave of soldiers tumbling.
Kael noticed Natsu and Gajeel; it looked like Natsu was finally able to use magic again.
"You two better watch yourselves. Don't go holding me back!"
Kael teased the two of them.
Gajeel scoffed: "I'm not going to look that pathetic. Unlike the Fire Dragon over there."
"What did you say?! Then let's see who can take down more of these guys!"
"Bring it on! I'm not scared of you!"
Natsu and Gajeel dove back into the ranks of the Royal Army.
"Let's go too!"
Lucy spoke to Wendy. She was, after all, an elite mage in Fairy Tail, second only to the S-Class mages. She had taken down plenty of soldiers before, and these guys were no different.
"Right!"
Wendy had been waiting for the chance to save everyone. She hadn't been able to help much during the battle against the Oración Seis because they were simply too powerful, but against these Royal Army soldiers who could only rely on magical tools, she was more than capable.
"Open! Gate of the Lion! Leo!"
Lucy bypassed her other spirits and immediately summoned the strongest of the Zodiac: Leo the Lion, also known as Loke.
Loke made his appearance: "Long time no see, Lucy. It's been a while since you summoned me."
"Well, you're here now, aren't you? You already know what's happening?"
Loke's expression turned grim: "Of course! I'm a member of Fairy Tail too. I won't let anyone hurt our friends!"
"Lion King! Grant me power!"
Loke began to radiate a brilliant golden light as his physical attributes surged. He lunged into the sea of soldiers, tearing through their ranks.
"Sky Dragon's... Roar!!"
Wendy joined the fray alongside them, the windstorm erupting from her mouth blasting a path through the Royal Army.
"Take this!"
A loud shout rang out from above as a figure dropped from the sky, driving a long spear down toward Kael.
Kael raised his hand, blocking the spear with ease.
"Explosion Spear!!"
BOOM————!
The spear flared with blinding light, followed immediately by a violent explosion.
"It's the Captain of the Second Magic War Division, Erza!"
"Awesome! Captain Erza is here!"
The Royal Army soldiers cheered at the sight of their arrival.
"Erza?!"
Lucy looked over and saw someone who looked exactly like Erza.
Lucy was momentarily stunned: "It's Erza!! What's going on?!"
Wendy explained: "In the world of Edolas, Erza is a member of the Royal Army. That means she's our enemy."
Soon, the smoke from the explosion cleared, and Kael stood there completely unharmed.
Erza Knightwalker wasn't surprised. she had already seen Kael fighting and knew that there seemed to be an invisible barrier around him. If she didn't break that barrier, she wouldn't be able to touch him.
"Erza, huh? That's certainly a familiar face."
"You know me?"
"No, I don't know you. I know the Erza from our world. She's my friend."
"Is that so? Well, I'm not her. I'm your enemy."
"Ice-Flame Spear!"
The spear in Knightwalker's hands split into two short spears. She swung them at Kael, one generating frost while the other released scorching flames.
Kael didn't move an inch. Both the fire and the ice curved around him, unable to reach his body.
"This guy!"
Knightwalker realized Kael was going to be a problem.
Kael raised his palm, firing a Blue orb straight at her.
Knightwalker released a burst of fire, but the flames were instantly sucked into the Blue sphere. She followed up with ice, hoping to freeze it, but the ice was absorbed just as easily.
She immediately sensed how dangerous this magic was.
"Sealing Spear!"
Knightwalker immediately shifted the form of her spear and slashed down hard against the Blue orb.
Pah———!
The Blue orb was forcibly dissipated.
"Huh?! Now that's interesting!"
Kael was genuinely surprised. He knew powerful magic could neutralize the attraction of Blue, but this was the first time someone had actually slashed it apart.
"Gravity Spear!!"
Knightwalker charged Kael again, a black sphere of gravity condensing at the tip of her spear.
"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue!"
Kael raised his hand, and his Blue orb met the gravity sphere head-on. Both forces were manifestations of intense attraction. The moment they touched, they merged into a single, highly unstable sphere.
"Not good!"
Knightwalker's expression changed, and she immediately retreated.
BOOM————!
A massive explosion erupted. Black and blue light expanded rapidly, swallowing everything in the vicinity.
"Did I get him?!"
Knightwalker stared at the center of the blast. As the light faded, Kael was still standing in the same spot, totally untouched.
"Monster!"
"Sonic Spear!"
Knightwalker moved at sonic speeds, her spear thrusting toward Kael's head.
Kael raised his palm, and the spear came to a dead stop right in front of him.
Then, a massive repulsive force erupted from Kael's hand.
"Gwah!!"
Knightwalker was sent tumbling backward.
Boom———!
Kael aimed his palm in her direction.
"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!"
A crimson orb of Red shot toward Knightwalker with lethal speed.
BOOM BOOM BOOM———!!
"Aaaaauuughhh!!"
The Red orb tore a massive hole through a nearby skyscraper.
"Captain Erza!!"
"I can't believe even Captain Erza isn't a match for that man!"
At that moment, a swarm of black shadows appeared in the sky. There were at least a hundred of them.
"It's the Legion corps!"
"Great! The Legion is here!!"
The Legion corps was the strongest unit in the Edolas Kingdom, and every single mount possessed immense combat power.
"What are those things!"
It was Lucy's first time seeing these giant monsters, and their sheer size was enough to inspire dread.
"It's those monsters from before!"
Wendy and the others recognized them instantly. It was the same species of monster that had hunted the guild.
"There are so many of them!!"
Carla's eyes filled with fear. They couldn't possibly handle that many giant monsters, especially while the Royal Army continued to pour in. The situation was looking grim.
Kael also looked up at the sky.
"It seems I've been dragging this out too long. Time to let these guys feel what true fear is."
Kael crossed his fingers into a hand seal.
"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue!"
A glowing blue orb of Blue appeared behind his left side.
"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!"
A glowing red orb of Red appeared behind his right side.
The two spheres streaked into the sky under Kael's control.
"Purple!"
