Raina sensed something was amiss, but couldn't pinpoint what it was. Her brow furrowed, and she remained silent.
Skye felt a slight pang of sympathy for this, but she knew Finney's identity couldn't be exposed, so she said nothing. As for Carl Johnson, as long as Skye wasn't involved, he wouldn't care even if Finney killed Raina.
Gordon's arrival had dampened their appetite, and Finney, worried about another attack, decided to hurry back to resolve the issue.
However, they disagreed on where to go.
Raina, needless to say, was free to go wherever she wanted; no one cared about her, and she still had her undercover work to do. Even if Carl didn't need her now, she couldn't simply leave. As she left, she wore a look of confusion and bewilderment.
The main problem was the difference in opinion between Skye and Carl Johnson.
Skye wanted Carl Johnson to stay temporarily at her small shop in Manhattan, but Carl Johnson wanted to take Skye back to his old home.
Finally, it was Finney who made the decision: "The Inhumans have discovered Skye and me. With that guy around, she's not safe. She has to stay with me."
"You're not an Inhuman, he probably won't attack you. Even if he does, you know who he'll take you to."
Hearing Finney's words, and thinking of Gordon's sudden appearance earlier, Carl Johnson fell silent. After a long pause, he finally said, "Alright!"
"But I won't go to your place. I want to go back and pack my things."
Although Carl Johnson gave up his insistence, he didn't agree to Skye's suggestion. He still hoped to one day return home and reunite with Skye and her mother's family.
Skye tried to persuade him again, but Carl Johnson insisted on going back, and in the end, she could only reluctantly agree.
The three parted ways and returned home. Skye was somewhat saddened by having to leave her biological father after only seeing him for a morning, prompting Finney to comfort her, "It's not like we'll never see each other again. He's just going back to tidy up the house."
However, while comforting her, Finney also thought of a question and hesitated before asking, "Skye, after your parents recover, will you leave?"
"Leave? Go where?"
Skye was taken aback, looking at Finney with a puzzled expression.
"Leave here and live with them!"
Finney stared at Skye as he asked. This was perhaps the main reason he couldn't find the location with the 'compass'; he was actually quite worried that Skye would leave this family.
"How could that be!"
Skye blurted out upon hearing Finney's words, then realized it was indeed a problem. However, after a moment's thought, she firmly replied, "No matter what, I won't leave."
"Although they are my biological parents, Mom and Dad are also my parents!"
Hearing this answer, Finney felt a slight sense of relief. Years of living together had made him accustomed to Skye's presence; if she were to leave one day, he might truly feel a sense of loss.
Noticing Finney's expression, Skye felt inexplicably happy. She suddenly leaned close to Finney and asked with a grin, "Are you reluctant to part with me?"
"How could I!"
Although she truly thought so, Finney wouldn't admit it aloud. "Hurry up and go! You eat so much every day, even raising a pig wouldn't burn that much!"
"You actually called me a pig!?"
"No, I meant even a pig can't compare to you!"
Skye was furious and tried to grab Finney's ear. Finding her biological father, and Finney's concern for her, made her exceptionally happy today.
Seeing Skye's mood improve, Finney couldn't resist teasing her.
After some playful banter, the two sat on the edge of the bed. Skye was panting and sweating profusely, while Finney looked perfectly normal, as if she hadn't moved at all.
After the playful time, Finney began to talk to Skye about serious matters.
"Let's go to the Himalayas tonight and search for that organization's location!"
"How do we search?"
Skye asked curiously.
"Aerial reconnaissance!"
Finney replied, while thinking to himself that once they found Skye's mother, the Hydra agents, including Whitehall, would be useless, and what to do with them would be a problem.
As for the undercover agents, Sitwell was enough for now; he didn't really intend to unify Hydra.
Whitehall was relatively easy to deal with; he could just hand him over to Skye's father for revenge. But there were still fifty or sixty people left in the base. Should he just use a 'burst magic' to burn them all down?!
Finney wasn't that ruthless. Although he didn't mind killing his enemies, that was usually during combat when they wanted to kill him.
Although he understood that these Hydra agents weren't good people, doing it this way was against his character.
By the time they were ready to set off to search, Finney hadn't come up with a good solution, so he decided to deal with the situation first and then figure it out; perhaps a solution would naturally emerge then.
As evening fell in New York, it was dawn in the Himalayas. Finney opened a portal and brought Skye there.
"Weren't you always curious about the Blue-Eyes White Dragon?!"
Finney looked at Skye, who was wondering how to begin the search, and stretched out her hand, summoning the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card. She chanted, "My turn, come forth, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
The card shone brightly and quickly transformed into a gigantic Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Skye stared, mouth agape, completely dumbfounded. It was the first time she had ever seen the Blue-Eyes White Dragon appear like this.
"This is the white dragon?!"
Skye reacted, excitedly wanting to get closer to see the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
"Roar!"
But the Blue-Eyes White Dragon suddenly roared, startling Skye. Looking at its majestic body and incredibly sharp fangs, she hesitated, no longer daring to approach.
Seeing Skye's reaction, Finney chuckled inwardly. He then walked to her side, pulled her onto the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's back, and commanded, "Take off!"
With Finney by her side, Skye felt much more at ease. Looking at the massive Blue-Eyes White Dragon beneath her, she touched its white scales with her small hand and couldn't help but ask Finney, "How did it appear?"
"Magic!"
Finney shrugged. He didn't want to reveal anything about the system, not even to his closest friend, Skye.
"Really?"
Skye was skeptical. She had been to Kamar-Taj and knew about melee mages; she had never seen anyone summon a dragon like Finney!
"Yes, really!"
Seeing Finney's earnest lie, Skye rolled her eyes cutely and didn't pursue
the matter further. She knew Finney harbored a secret, but she also believed that Finney had his reasons for not revealing it.
Riding the Blue-Eyes White Dragon was a strange feeling for Skye. It wasn't as free as flying herself, but it brought a different kind of satisfaction, after all, it was a dragon from legends and myths.
Finney narrowed their search to the area near XZ, sending the Blue-Eyes White Dragon wherever it was most remote.
In less than two days, they discovered a base deep in the mountains.
Finney didn't approach rashly, but instead returned home first, taking the Mind Staff and the Cosmic Cube with him before taking Skye to see her mother.
