Nora's POV
"What exactly are you suggesting?" I lean forward, pulse quickening at the dangerous edge in his voice.
"I haven't laid eyes on him since our last interrogation went nowhere. He just rolled back into town from some hunt with his Order buddies. They're all gathering at this hunter dive in about an hour. Tell me truth potions are actually real."
"It's not a spell. It's a potion."
"No shit, really?"
"Absolutely," I confirm, mind already racing ahead. "You want to dose him with it, don't you?"
"Hell yes. That bastard knows way more than he's letting on. How fast can you whip some up?"
"Maybe thirty minutes. Less if Evangeline helps with the prep work."
"Your cat can do that? Never mind, don't answer."
"She's not a cat," I correct him automatically. "And brewing potions is her specialty. I'll get started right away."
"Perfect. I can swing by in forty-five minutes. I'm already outside the city limits."
