Nora's POV
"What do you mean again?" Ophelia asks, carrying her plate toward the dining room. "Something was interfering with it before?"
"I'm not entirely sure," I admit, glancing down at Mack curled near my feet. "When we went running, something felt off about the energy. But then everything returned to normal, and I had all my familiars sweep through the woods. They came back with nothing, which made me wonder if it was just a power surge from the recent Solstice."
Mack lets out a soft meow, reminding me that he, Rhianna, and Evangeline have been patrolling the forest regularly since then, paying special attention to the Watson line. Nothing unusual has surfaced.
"You know how unpredictable the Watson line can be. Sometimes it absorbs extra energy and you can sense it hanging in the air."
