Nora's POV
The clock reads past ten when I finally drag myself into the kitchen. Pregnancy or not, sleep has been elusive lately, and that solid stretch of rest was exactly what my body craved.
James had already vacated our bed when I stirred awake, leaving all three of my familiars to claim his warm spot. I nestled against Mack, too comfortable to move, until nausea crept up my throat. James's words about morning sickness hitting harder on an empty stomach echoed in my mind.
"What's all this?" I gesture toward the scattered boxes and equipment littering our kitchen counter.
