Nora's POV
The other archangels had detected me when I unleashed that massive surge of angel power before. Naturally, they could track me now too.
"What should we do?" Ophelia's voice breaks through my panic, and I find myself speechless, my throat constricted with fear. She cups her hands around her mouth and shouts for James. Despite the distance between him and the house, he hears her clearly and rushes toward us with supernatural speed.
"What happened?" His hands envelope mine, concern etched across his features as his eyebrows draw together.
"The other archangels have located me," I blurt out, my words tumbling over each other.
My familiars immediately form a protective circle around me. "And I have no idea how to battle them."
"You cannot." The voice drifts from the back porch, causing us all to startle. "But fear not, Hugo has arrived."
