Nora's POV
The chill hits me the moment I step through the door of our Vivian Hill home. I quickly wave my hand, using magic to seal the entrance behind us. After peeling off my coat, I immediately want to wrap it back around my shoulders.
"The house feels like a freezer in here," I complain, rubbing my arms. "That repair guy warned me last winter the heating system might give out this year."
James kicks off his shoes near the entryway. "The heating works perfectly fine. I adjusted the thermostat."
"Adjusted it to what exactly? Sub-zero temperatures?" I grab my phone from my bag and drape my jacket over a kitchen chair.
"Sixty-five degrees."
"That's absolutely freezing! I'm changing it back to seventy right now. I can't handle this cold."
James raises an eyebrow at me. "Why not just grab a sweater?"
"I refuse to bundle up inside my own home. That's exactly why I maintain it at seventy degrees. It creates a comfortable living environment."
