Nora's POV
"Last year, I hired a crew to string Christmas lights across the Mark Park house," James mentions casually. "Antonia demanded we match the neighborhood aesthetic. It was my first attempt at holiday decorating."
"Your first?" Disbelief colors my voice. "You've existed for over a millennium and never once felt the urge to celebrate anything?"
"Thanksgiving holds zero interest for me."
"Fair enough, considering the whole food situation. But Christmas?"
"Until recently, I had no faith in angels, demons, or divine beings. And I've always known the reality behind Jaxson Wallace."
"What about Halloween? You're literally a vampire who doesn't embrace Halloween?"
"Too commercialized for my taste."
"Those three are basically my entire holiday repertoire." I spin to face him, linking my arms around his neck. "Though I do keep those glass apothecary jars filled with pink sweets come February for Valentine's Day."
