The moment James parks the Jeep and kills the engine, he's already moving around to my side, yanking open the door with urgent hands.
I catch my bottom lip between my teeth, drinking in the sight of him. My fiancé. James surges forward and lifts me effortlessly from the seat. He hauls me against him and slams the door shut behind me. My legs lock around his waist as he crushes me between his solid chest and the vehicle's cool metal.
Mack melts into the shadows, circling toward the back porch where Rhianna and Evangeline maintain their vigil.
"Should you—" James begins, then claims my mouth with his. Fire races through my veins, pooling hot and needy between my thighs.
