Nora's POV
"We have to leave immediately." Charlette spins away from the table, her movements sharp and urgent.
"Wait, Mother." Gideon catches her arm. "We have no idea what kind of danger we're walking into."
"Then it's time I discovered the truth." Charlette breaks free from his grip and rushes to the living room. She stretches out on the sofa, folding her arms across her chest, and begins her incantation.
"What's happening?" Lena's voice trembles with fear. "Who was that woman and what just occurred?"
"A member of our coven," I explain, my pulse thundering. James and Kevin hover close behind me. "She projected her spirit here. Charlette leads our coven as High Priestess."
"And she's... deceased?"
"Most likely." I clasp Lena's shaking hands in mine.
"How did she locate us here? Do you possess teleportation abilities?"
"No, that's not within our power. She sent her spirit form here, probably using divination magic to track down Charlette."
