While Conrad walked to the Heart Ice, he knew that if he wanted to solve the mystery of the Blue Ice Core, he still needed to go to Deep Point, maybe at a later time than now.
"Right now, I want to know what this mystery ice is and then pass my time to go back to the world."
"That is all I care about for the time being."
Conrad thought.
Compared to the Deep Point, entering Heart Ice is completely forbidden. On the map given to him by Tetro, despite there being the location of the Heart Ice, there is a "Forbidden—Punishable By Death" written in red underneath it.
So, trying to enter will end in death.
But of course, Conrad was not scared of anybody here in Cradle City at all.
Minus the deep point, there is no danger for him.
Time passed quickly; Conrad arrived at the relatively open ground, his eyes easily seeing the stronghold-like area that had tanks and soldiers in white winter clothing.
Their eyes are open, and they regularly patrol the area.
"Their behavior and mannerisms show that most of them are ex-soldiers."
"It seems like Cradle City authorities spent a lot of money securing the Ice Heart."
Conrad smirked and then, within seconds, he entered Zetsu and then started going in.
Fifteen minutes later, he comes to the middle of the stronghold, easily passing all the soldiers and cameras that used to detect any intruders.
"Okay."
As Conrad came to the middle of the stronghold, he saw what they were protecting.
"Now."
"This should be Mystery Ice."
"I can feel it with my EN, but it is still blocked by a relatively big and thick building."
In the middle, Conrad was in a corner, all the surroundings filled with soldiers and even automatic turrets, most likely with motion detectors.
"Hmmm..."
"Why would they protect a mineral with this amount of security?"
"I have noticed there are more than three thousand soldiers, one hundred tanks, and many more people in civilian clothing with handguns that operate the machines of war."
"This does not seem warranted for just a rock..."
Conrad took a deep breath.
"In the end, if I want to enter, I need clothing on one of those soldiers."
"On the back and front, they have some sort of a black symbol; those black-colored QR code-like symbols must be for the turrets."
Conrad was not scared of any turret or tanks.
At this point, as long as he does not get hit point blank by a tank turret, he should have enough defenses to tank one or two hits from a tank.
Not to mention normal machine gun bullets.
They cannot harm him even if they hit him, and they cannot because his speed is fast enough to dodge any bullet with no problem.
"I guess..."
"I can put a guard to sleep and take his clothes."
"As long as I am quick."
"It should be no problem."
"I will spend at the very most fifteen to thirty minutes here, and that would be it."
Conrad used his EN to count all the guards again, and then he vanished and appeared next to a guard that was looking at the middle building that hid Mystery Ice, and then he hit the back of the man slowly to not kill him.
The man was about to drop to the ground, but Conrad did not let him; he held him and his gun.
He quickly changed clothes with the man and took him to a relatively hidden spot.
The stronghold was powered by huge amounts of energy, and it was warm all around, so the man was not in threat of dying from cold.
"Now."
"The turrets should recognize me." Conrad thought as he took one step.
Both types of turrets mounted on the top turned down to him for a second and then kept on scanning the area.
"Great."
With this confirmation, Conrad entered and went on.
In no time, he entered the big building, passed all the doors and the people by hiding and teleporting, using Blink if he needed, and finally arrived at the huge metal door.
Similar to the Zoldyck family underground base where Alluka was being kept.
"I guess I can just go through it."
"I do not want to find the code for it."
Conrad waited for some time, and as guards patrolled, he entered from the doors by using huge amounts of nen to delve into them.
What he did was not use pure force; he just placed his hand on the door and started using Gyo to make his hand collect and be covered with more aura.
Then, he used the enhancing capabilities of nen and manipulated nen to act like a drill by turning at fast speed.
Under his power of nen and capacity for it, he opened a hole and slid into the room.
He placed some of the parts back so as not to be noticed.
Most ordinary people would not think that door they were protecting was drilled into with no sound.
There was no sound as Conrad thought of it, too.
"Fuck this."
Conrad stopped, and his eyes popped out from their sockets from the shock.
"This is Mystery Ice?"
"This is no fucking mineral!"
Conrad looked at the blue-colored humanoid inside of a huge tank.
As he looked, he felt something to his right, and then a man in white clothes with glasses looked at him.
"I suppose you have no permission to enter this place," the man with glasses said.
Conrad smirked.
"A new user, this guy."
"A very powerful one."
"I do not think I saw him in the original series."
Conrad looked at the man with the glasses.
"I am not here to steal anything also."
"Just wanted to satisfy my curiosity as a hunter." Conrad added.
The man with the glasses nodded.
"That is great."
"If you are a hunter, it changes things."
"I am a hunter too."
Conrad nodded.
"What is this humanoid crystal man?" Conrad could not help but ask.
The man with the glasses smiled.
"I am sorry, but I cannot tell you that unless you have the knowledge of the other place already."
Conrad laughed.
"Other place?"
"Why not just call it the Dark Continent, and this is something of a calamity from it."
The man with glasses laughed loudly.
"Ohh."
"You already know everything."
