Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 – A Simple Meeting, Complicated Hearts

The next day in class felt… strange.

PK sat in his usual place, calm as ever, but something was clearly off. From the moment the lecture began, he could feel it—two pairs of eyes fixed on him far more often than normal.

Lana and Luna were staring again.

PK frowned slightly to himself.

Why are they looking at me like that?

After enduring it for a while, he casually pulled out his phone and typed a message.

PK:

Can we meet after college? There's a café just outside campus.

The twins' phones lit up simultaneously.

They read the message.

And froze.

Their faces turned red instantly.

Is this a date?

Isn't this sudden?

Wait… what are we supposed to prepare?

Do people prepare for this?

Both of them looked at each other, equally flustered, equally confused, equally excited.

Across the classroom, PK glanced up and noticed their reactions.

Why are their faces red? he wondered.

It's just a normal message to meet… did I phrase it wrong?

He had absolutely no idea what chaos his single line of text had caused.

That evening, they met at the café outside the college.

PK arrived first. When Lana and Luna walked in together and stood in front of him, he instinctively said the first thing that came to mind.

"Wow," PK said honestly. "Seeing you both this close… you're way too beautiful."

Silence.

Complete silence.

The twins froze. Their faces turned beet red. Their hearts started racing—fast, loud, and once again, perfectly synchronized.

Thump.

Thump.

No response came.

PK blinked.

"…Did I say something wrong?" he asked, genuinely unsure.

After a brief pause, both of them spoke—almost together.

"Thank you," they said softly.

The tension slowly eased, and soon they began talking casually—about hacking, systems, competitions, random technical topics—like they always did. The conversation felt comfortable, familiar.

Then Lana and Luna exchanged a quick glance.

Luna spoke first.

"PK… why did you agree to meet the head of the base?"

PK leaned back slightly, thoughtful.

That simple question marked the shift.

This meeting wasn't just casual anymore.

Something bigger was starting to move.
