Ashrik jerked his head up. The sight of Lucille's face gaining some color was just enough for him to breathe again.
Frowning, he extended his senses toward her, trying to assess the state of her ability core. What he feared the most now was the chance that her core had ruptured more.

Ashrik's eyes widened in disbelief. The core was still weak and fractured, but no signs of spiraling or collapsing energy. It didn't even try to draw the pure spiritual energy in their surroundings.
