The ice spear pierced through Helena's flesh and bone with brutal precision. Her body jerked violently, the black tendrils falling limply on the ground.
Hot blood sprayed across Ashrik's face, staining his already dirty shirt. The crimson, thick liquid trickled down the ice spear, glinting under the sunlight.
"Ash—rik—!"
Helena forced her right hand outward, wanting to pull the spear off her chest. But her strength depleted in a massive exodus, leaving her weakened.
"You— You're gonna... pay for this!"
Her meaningless threat did nothing to him. His expression remained stoic, as if he hadn't just driven his weapon into someone's heart.
His intention was clear; to kill her.
Ashrik released his hold on the spear, letting it stay in Helena's chest. He slowly got up, wiping the blood from his face with the back of his hand.
