Chapter 79 - Chapter 79: Lei Yi Unleashes the Power of Thor!

"Mystic Ice Dragon Ascension!"

Mu Nianbing's sharp gaze locked forward as he raised his hand.

Ice Element energy erupted beneath his feet, and frost bloomed outward, spreading like crystalline veins across the ground.

Within moments, a massive ice dragon formed under him — its scales glinting blue and silver, its breath exuding chilling mist.

Then, four more ice dragons materialized around him.

With the amplification from the Ice Accumulation Ring, Mu Nianbing had managed to conjure five ice dragons at once, each over fifty meters long!

Under his control, the four surrounding dragons swooped down one after another, smashing directly into the advancing Corpse Vassals at the front lines.

Each time an ice dragon shattered upon impact, a burst of freezing energy spread outward — instantly freezing one Corpse Vassal and the surrounding undead.

Those that followed were crushed into icy fragments under the frozen debris.

Ice magic naturally countered the undead, and with his enhanced Ice Element, Mu Nianbing easily obliterated them in waves.

At the same time, the Totem Black Serpent had already slithered to the breached section of the city wall, using its massive body to block the opening.

Although some undead had managed to rush into the city, their numbers were few — not enough to threaten the retreating mages.

As a Supreme Monarch, even though its venom was ineffective against undead, the Totem Black Serpent's sheer size and physical might made it an unstoppable wall.

A single sweep of its tail crushed hundreds of undead, and the poisonous mists it exhaled corroded the weaker ones instantly.

Relying solely on the Totem Black Serpent, Mu Nianbing could hold the breach for a while.

Meanwhile, high above in the storm-laden sky, a golden figure emerged — shining like a ray of divine light amidst the black clouds and rain.

It was Lei Yi, his presence sacred and awe-inspiring.

Though Mu Nianbing hadn't provided him with many resources, Lei Yi's growth had been astonishing.

After clearing a wide area of undead, Lei Yi's piercing gaze shifted toward the Hai Sha Bone Dragon hovering in the distance.

Thunder rumbled across the heavens as electric arcs crackled around Lei Yi's body, responding to the storm above.

"BOOM! BOOM!!!"

Deafening thunder echoed, shaking the very air.

Lei Yi thrust his right arm toward the heavens, his five fingers forming a claw as he grasped at the heart of the storm.

In an instant, countless bolts of lightning twisted into shape — thick serpents of electric fury that answered his will.

They gathered, spiraled, and converged upon his outstretched hand.

A sphere of pure thunder condensed in his palm — an eye of divine wrath, burning white and impossible to look at directly.

Even the raindrops evaporated before touching it.

The pressure it emitted was so immense that the undead below trembled, pinned in place by the oppressive force.

Then came a roar — like the cry of a thunder god.

With both hands, Lei Yi swung down, unleashing all the heavenly lightning he had gathered.

A colossal Thunder Blade, pure and radiant, tore through the sky toward the Hai Sha Bone Dragon!

It was like a sword of judgment, slicing through the storm itself.

Space distorted along its path, and even the dark clouds split apart as if the heavens had been cleaved open.

For one blinding instant, the entire battlefield was illuminated as bright as day.

The blade struck.

A thunderous explosion followed — and one of the Hai Sha Bone Dragon's enormous bone wings was severed clean off, sending the skeletal beast crashing toward the ground!

"So cool…" Mu Nianbing's pupils trembled. He had never imagined Lei Yi's destructive power could rival that of a deity.

From sheer destructive force alone, Lei Yi's attack even surpassed the Bone Dragon's Destructive Impact Wave.

However, despite losing its wing, the Hai Sha Bone Dragon was far from defeated.

Its terrifying ability allowed it to regenerate by absorbing bone fragments from the surroundings — and the battlefield was littered with them.

It would not be long before it fully recovered.

"It's time to retreat," Mu Nianbing muttered, frowning.

His concern was not the Bone Dragon, but the Mountain Corpse, which was rapidly approaching.

As it drew closer, the very city wall beneath him trembled.

Although both the Totem Black Serpent and the Mountain Corpse were Supreme Monarchs, the latter was clearly superior.

After all, it could even overpower the Sphinx.

The Serpent's poison attribute was a disadvantage against the Mountain Corpse's overwhelming brute force.

Mu Nianbing had already brought several undead under his command — including five Corpse Vassals and many Warrior-Level undead.

As for the weaker Servant-Level ones, he ignored them; their lack of intelligence made them useless to him.

Once he gained control of the Ancient King, he would never need such low-level undead again.

"Retreat!"

In a flash, Mu Nianbing used Instant Movement, teleporting onto the Totem Black Serpent's head.

The colossal creature slithered away from the collapsing wall, flying toward the inner city.

As they ascended, Mu Nianbing glanced back.

The breach was now a black flood — countless undead pouring in, flooding the streets like a living tide.

He sighed softly. He had done everything he could. The rest would depend on fate.

Although his actions were primarily to protect the Mu Family, a part of him couldn't bear to see the entire outer city fall to ruin.

As the Totem Black Serpent flew toward the inner city barrier, Mu Nianbing drew the attention of many. But surprisingly, the entry was smooth.

The guards at the barrier allowed them through without question.

Later, he learned why — Zhu Meng had already given them strict orders: if a giant serpent appeared carrying a mage, they were to allow passage immediately.

Mu Nianbing couldn't help but smirk. "So the old man's not completely clueless after all."

"Now that the civilians are safe, there are two things left to do," he murmured. "First, find Mu He. Second, enter the Evil Abyss."

Finding Mu He wouldn't be difficult — not with Mu Bai's help.

But entering the Evil Abyss would be trickier.

Only the descendants of the Ancient King could enter it safely. Mo Fan had relied on the Earth Holy Spring to do so.

Since Mu Nianbing had also absorbed the Earth Holy Spring, he should, in theory, be able to enter as well.

But to minimize risks, it would be wiser to go with Mo Fan — especially since Mo Fan's Little Loach Pendant could protect him if things went wrong.

Just as Mu Nianbing was about to land, a court mage approached in haste.

He recognized the man — one of Zhu Meng's personal guards.

"Mr. Mu," the guard said respectfully, "Councilman Zhu Meng requests your presence at the Bell Tower."

Mu Nianbing nodded. "Lead the way."

Without hesitation, he followed.
