Chapter 474 - The Twin-Winged Ice Owl Bow

After Marcus finished accepting the gifts, the Village Chief stepped up beside him and said with a warm smile, "Sir, these gifts may not be worth much, but they come from the heart. I hope you won't think too little of them."

Not worth much? Marcus nearly laughed out loud. The Chief's modesty was on another level. Either he genuinely had no idea how valuable these things were, or Millbrook Village was hiding even greater treasures somewhere. 

At this point, Marcus wouldn't have been surprised if there was a divine artifact buried beneath a barn.

Still, he had no reason to pry.

Seeing the hopeful look on the Chief's face, Marcus quickly replied, "Chief, I love the gifts. Especially Aunt Martha's dried beef and Chloe's pickled eggs. They look amazing, honestly. I'm more worried about finishing them too quickly than anything else. And the thousand-year grain wine, the honey dates, and the red pears... I've never seen products like these before. They're incredible."
