Elias let out a tired sigh. While destroying the Human Puppet is not hard at the moment, the training he did took most of his Energy. Though, not like he did not gain anything from it. The exact opposite in fact. He managed to learn the remaining Weapon Skill, while confirming his theory.
"Now, let's see the rewards for defeating the Human Puppet." He went to the chest and opened it, and was greeted by 18 Attribute Crystal, and 6 books.
Not much diversity, but Elias took it. The Attribute Crystal alone made it worth it, giving him extra 30 points in all stats. Yet, as he took a peek at the books while absorbing the Attribute Crystal, he realized he just hit the jackpot.

Magic Skills are Skills that can only be performed with Magic. Similar to Weapon Skill, each Magic Skill require certain Affinity to use it and consumes Energy when used.
Reminder: Magic Skills often cost more Energy than Weapon Skills so players had to be extra mindful when using them or else they might find themselves with zero Energy during combat.]
"Let's see what's inside!" Elias' voice almost got high-pitched from his excitement as he took a closer look at the different Skill Books.

Elias' eyes gleamed in interest. Oh, it's possible for him to be able to use those Magic Skills without even reading the Skill Books, but doing so likely took him a long time, plus the trial and error required to perfect them.
By learning from the Skill Books, he can skip the creation plus trial and error part and instead go through the learning phase, easily mastering the Magic Skill. Well, easy compared to creating such a thing from nothing.
As he picked at the new Skill Books, he thought about which Magic Skills he wanted to learn first before deciding to drop the Skill Books he was currently holding.
"Focus on the Sword Manual. If I finished it, my Sword Mastery could climb to as high as it can get. After that, I should focus on Water Magic first, then Earth Magic," his swordsmanship had been the reason why he managed to get this far, so Elias didn't plan on discarding when he just got new toys.
So, Elias picked up Sword Manual II and read it, slowly learning the more intricate part of swordsmanship, allowing him to understand things he did wrong and what he can do to correct any mistakes he might make.

"That took about 15 minutes," Elias eyed the timer. As he thought, the limit of Sword Manual II is 50 point in Sword Mastery. Somewhat expected, but still, he wished he could get it higher from Sword Manual II.
'I probably need Sword Manual III for that.' He thought before looking at the Water Magic Skill. He had three to choose from and after giving it some thought, Elias decided on Water Bolt. It's the most offensive of the three and likely more precise if the name is accurate.
Elias opened the Skill Book, and quickly found his Energy being used to open it.
"Just like Introduction to Magic," he wondered if anything Magic-related or at least items used to learn Magic would require him to use his Energy. It probably is going by the current pattern.
"The start requires me to pick an Energy strand, then transform it into Water Aura. Then, I need to turn it into a small ball of water, probably twice the size of a regular droplet. Then, I need to pick two Energy strands and coiled it around the droplets and squeeze, causing it shoot out like a bullet."
To put it simply, he needed a strand to create the 'bolt' part of the Water Bolt while the two Energy strands were used as propellant.
"Simple enough in theory, but it would be harder in practice," he mused to himself.
"Well, I just had to train and correct myself if I am doing something wrong."

"Well, that was easier than I thought," it took him another 15 minutes to learn all the Water Magic Skill. Which truly surprised him. With how long it took him to learn Magic, Elias thought it would take longer for him to learn Magic Skill.
"Unless, it's because I already learn basic Magic that I can learn it so quickly," he wondered if that was the reason.
