053 An Investigation from the Main God?
The Resident Evil world gradually fell under Marcus's control. Like the Terminator world, Marcus once again mastered "power," even far surpassing it.
In the Resident Evil world, Marcus's current "power" was practically that of a hegemon!
The only unexpected situation was that this Resident Evil world was rather unconventional; Marcus actually encountered Alex there.
However, meeting Alex wasn't a bad thing.
Marcus even used Alex to manipulate the Main God, compressing what originally required 10,000 life points to a point where no life points were needed.
The Main God was outmaneuvered by Marcus!
However, the Main God didn't give up...
At the Umbrella Corporation's North American headquarters,
After reviewing his life point information and the logs of the system, Marcus silently pondered his future path. He currently possessed over 800 life points. If he invested all of them into his four-dimensional attributes, his mental power could undergo a transcendent transformation, and his other three-dimensional attributes could also approach transcendence.
But Marcus didn't do that.
Directly improving his four-dimensional attributes through life points was definitely not a good choice!
It's not that reversing cause and effect through destiny to enhance four-dimensional attributes has any side effects, but rather that destiny's power is immense and shouldn't be wasted.
If Marcus wanted to enhance his three-dimensional attributes, he could simply use the Main God-version T-virus and, like Wesker, dismantle high-strength bulletproof glass with his bare hands.
But that's not Marcus's goal!
Marcus plans to awaken extraordinary psychic power in the Resident Evil world, even condensing telekinesis, like Alice's supernatural power.
Therefore, Marcus requires Dr. Isaacs's clone to work well with Alice to research why Alice is a perfect match for the T-virus, ideally replicating this process so that Marcus can also perfectly adapt to the T-virus.
According to Marcus's deduction, if he can perfectly adapt to the T-virus, he will definitely step into the realm of the extraordinary!
Because of this determination, Marcus hasn't used destiny to enhance his four-dimensional attributes. After all, once a perfectly compatible T-virus is developed, it will naturally enhance his four-dimensional attributes; wouldn't using destiny to enhance his attributes prematurely be a waste?
Destiny should not be betrayed, much less wasted!
"Mr. Foster, I've detected an anomaly," Red Queen's voice came through the headset.
"Wesker's?" Marcus asked rhetorically.
Marcus and Red Queen had two communication protocols. If Marcus asked publicly, Red Queen would respond using either the broadcast system or a wireless headset, depending on the result.
If Marcus used lip reading, Red Queen would default to responding via the wireless headset unless specifically instructed by Marcus.
Marcus had just ordered Red Queen and White Queen to investigate Wesker, and Red Queen's report of anomalies made him worried that the anomalies might be related to Wesker, so he naturally couldn't ask publicly.
"No," Red Queen replied through the headset again, "Mr. Foster previously instructed us to closely monitor all anomalies worldwide, especially those involving Jake and Alex's group."
"Alex is back?" Marcus was taken aback.
Logically speaking, Alex shouldn't have returned so quickly, right?
"It's not that Alex and his group returned, but rather a group of mysterious people suddenly appeared thirty kilometers north of the North American headquarters. Their situation is exactly the same as Mr. Foster's return—one frame is blank, and the next frame suddenly appears, like spatial teleportation," Red Queen explained.
After Red Queen's explanation, the Transcendence System issued a notification.
"Red Queen has discovered traces of the Main God Space's Team Delta. Causal relationship established successfully!" the Transcendence System reminded.
"What's going on?" Marcus was stunned.
"Based on the system's detection of spatial fluctuations and feedback from the law of causality, it seems the host's journey to the Main God Space resulted in a reverse marking by the Main God Space. The Main God is very likely trying to study the host," the Transcendence System responded.
Marcus was stunned, then asked, "Didn't you say there was no risk entering the Main God Space? Now the Main God has sent people to mess with me. System, tell me what to do?"
The Transcendence System replied indifferently, "Could they deal with you in the Resident Evil world?"
Marcus thought for a moment, seemingly unable to!
He now holds immense power in the Resident Evil world, practically standing at the very top of the Umbrella Corporation. Unless Dr. Isaacs's true form awakens, or Alicia stops him, Marcus can mobilize all of Umbrella's resources.
For example, right now, the guys from the Main God Space have just entered the Resident Evil world, and Red Queen has already spotted them!
...
Umbrella Corporation, thirty kilometers north of its North American headquarters.
A group of people lay scattered across a stretch of desert. A young man sat cross-legged on the ground, his brow furrowed, clearly facing some difficulty.
Less than a minute later, a young woman and a burly young man woke up.
The young woman shook her head, then looked at the young man, "Captain?"
The burly young man also looked at the team captain.
The captain sighed, "Sarah, Aaron, we've encountered a big problem!"
"A big... um? It's... a fifteen-person difficulty!" Sarah exclaimed in surprise!
Aaron also noticed the problem. He quickly counted, and if you included the three who had already woken up, there were indeed fifteen people.
A horror movie with fifteen people was already the highest difficulty level in the Main God's Space!
While the three remained silent, three more men woke up and also noticed the nine newcomers on the ground.
One of the men, carrying a sniper rifle, said bitterly, "It's supposed to be a simple sci-fi horror movie, but it's the highest difficulty level of fifteen people. Captain, what should we do?"
The captain tapped his black watch. "Look at our mission!"
...
Mission:
Investigate Marcus Foster in the world of Resident Evil 1, requiring the investigation of his abilities and as much information as possible.
Time Limit:
Indefinite
Return Limit:
At least obtain basic information about Marcus Foster
Mission Rewards:
S-level side quest *1
10,000 points
Any A-level or lower ability upgrade by 1 level
10 cubic meter space bracelet *1
...
"An S-level side quest, 10,000 points, plus an ability upgrade, and even valuable space equipment, do you think the mission will be easy?" the captain exclaimed.
The team's medic, Aaron, objected, "There doesn't seem to be a character named Marcus Foster in Resident Evil. Could it be some kind of hidden mission?"
