Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: The Newcomers

"How interesting..."

The red-haired girl narrowed her eyes, clenching her fists and immediately feeling a wave of weakness. Not only that, but her magical power was suppressed to a mortal level by some force... or rather, by the world itself.

Even when she instinctively tried to spread her Devil wings, she found it difficult, as the power of her wings couldn't get out her body.

Most importantly, she should be in the safest place in the Devil Realm, not in this strange place!

She had just been catching up with her brother, Sirzech Lucifer, the current Devil King, in his castle, but in an instant, she was here.

This was definitely not a simple teleportation. Her brother was undoubtedly the strongest in the Devil Realm; even the former God of the Bible couldn't teleport her away in an instant!

Therefore, she looked directly at the blonde girl who had also emerged from the sphere of light before her.

Although the blonde girl appeared frightened, the red-haired girl sensed an immense magical power emanating from her. This power, as if freed from some form of suppression, was growing exponentially…

The power currently manifesting was already comparable to that of some lower-level Devils.

If it wasn't just herself who was being suppressed, then this girl must be as well.

"Such terrifying talent, and she smells like a pure maiden… she looks like a pure child too. Perhaps I could take her as a servant if I get the chance."

These thoughts of the red-haired girl lasted only a moment. In Li Ke and the others' view, the girl only paused for a second before looking at them.

"Good day, everyone. I'm Rias Gremory. It may be presumptuous of me, but could you please tell me who brought us here?"

As she spoke, the girl's gaze lingered on the corpses that hadn't disappeared, causing her to frown. She sensed the aura of a group of dead people, but it was very strange, because the aura of these dead was extremely...uniform, as if these people were identical from soul to body.

"Rias Gremory?"

Li Ke paused, stunned. He seemed to have heard of that name before? Something about a "Breast Dragon Emperor," but to be honest, he had never actually watched it...

He usually watched anime like Sword Art Online and Attack on Titan; he had never bothered with this kind of old anime.

He only knew that there was such a person, a red-haired, very attractive "Fanservice girl," a heroine who practically threw herself at her servants.

And this anime had many girls who were easy to sleep with, but that was all he knew.

"Oh, and there's this 'Godslayer' thing too. He'd seen it many times in novels, even quite servant with the characters, but he'd never actually watched the anime, and didn't even know what Erica looked like."

"But she's definitely a very attractive 'Fanservice girl'..."

Li Ke looked at Rias's clothes. This outfit was completely designed to accentuate her figure; it was a perfect display of her good physique.

Aside from not showing any skin, it was practically the limit.

Moreover, this girl herself exuded a certain suggestive charm, radiating a certain aura, which caused Li Ke to slightly aroused as a sign of respect for her figure and appearance.

However, he really wasn't that interested; because Tsunade and Kiri's issues hadn't been resolved yet.

"Oh, do you recognize me?"

Rias keenly observed Li Ke's reaction and looked at him with some curiosity.

"No, that's not it. I just know someone else named Rias."

Li Ke shook his head. He genuinely didn't know Rias. After all, he'd never even seen her in any doujinshi, and he didn't even know what she looked like. How could he say he knew her?

"Oh?"

Rias remained noncommittal.

"Regarding your question, we don't know either, because we all arrived here suddenly."

Seeing Rias's puzzled expression, Kiri waved her hand, indicating she didn't know the answer either.

"Is that so?"

Seeing Kiri not answer what she wanted to know, Rias instinctively tried to cast her magic, but was astonished to find it impossible. She clearly remembered how to chant the incantation, but just 'couldn't recall' it.

Conceptual suppression?

She subtly noted this down, then continued to ask with a smile.

"So, do any of you seniors have any suggestions? And, this blonde lady, you must be in the same situation as me, right? May I ask your name...?"

The blonde girl took a step back as if startled, then, seeing Rias looking at her with a half-smile, she straightened her chest and spoke in a proud yet still somewhat shy tone.

"My name is Lux, or rather, Luxanna Crownguard, from the Crownguard family of Demacia. May I ask where this is in Runeterra? Does anyone know how to get back?"

Lux?

The Lady of Luminosity? The support who builds Mejai's Soulstealer?

The former darling of Riot Games, now unloved Lux?

What are the standards for attracting people in this damn world?

Li Ke glanced at Lux again, a sight noticed not only by the red-haired girl, but also by Tsunade and Kiri.

Actually, when Kiri and Tsunade told Li Ke their names before, they had both noticed this, but Li Ke looked so terrible at the time that they weren't in the mood to pay attention and ignored it.

This time, however, it was different.

The trace was actually very small; most people would never notice it.

But the problem was…

Tsunade, a professional ninja. Although she wasn't very good at intelligence gathering, she still possessed the basic skills required to become a Kage.

Kiri, a professional ranger. If she couldn't read people, she would have died long ago.

Rias Gremory, the Devil princess.

Only Lux remained oblivious to the almost imperceptible change in Li Ke's eyes, anxiously watching the others.

"Well, so far, the only method we know is to have sex with this guy, but we can't confirm if that's true. We don't know any other methods. Also, we suggest you come with us, because this world is truly extraordinary. There are many walking corpses, and the rules are definitely different from the worlds you've experienced before. It's said that a zombie horde erupts every seven days, but it actually arrived on the sixth day, and the numbers are terrifying, covering the mountains and plains, every meter of space is filled with those monsters, and they seem endless."

Kiri pointed casually at Li Ke, then smiled.

"So welcome to Hell, newcomers."
